smurf...

I did a 360 in my old pickup truck, it was a gravel road, and the back end was really light, and I hit a bump, got on the gas, and felt the back end swing around, I thought, uh oh, then I just nailed it and kept the back spinning, did the full turn about, and played it to the girl in the passenger seat like I meant to do it. To tell the truth, it scared the crap outta me.

So I have to relate this story.....

I'm driving the GT this weekend and the Mrs is in the passenger seat. I pull up to this 3 way intersection and make a left turn. Being the smart a$$ I am and tired of hearing the warden always telling me to drive sanely, I give it some giddy up, well next thing I know the rear tires are lit up and blue smoke is pouring out of the wheel wells and I'm facing 180 in the direction I was coming from. So sweet but the Mrs was absolutely nuts at this point. Oh did I get in so much trouble. Phrases like you a$$hole, you &#$&$(#*&$#(*, I'm not driving in this car any longer. I'm thinking great no big deal. Lucky for me my nephew is in the rear seat yelling outstanding uncle phil, do it again. He saved my butt as the Mrs finally warmed up. It was a hoot to say the least

Wish I has a video......

Anyways I digress, sorry for the long story
Cool Story Phil

Thanks,
I enjoyed the long story.
Just don't let it end up like mine.
My wife hated riding with me and I really tried to take it easy.

No, I think it went over a day once. Our big posters must be busy this week.

Me, just chillaxin'.
Tom is dealing with his turbo tuning.
Leo is probably still moping about his NFL team loss.
Jed is stirring up ideas for another JCC episode.
The rest of the guys, I have no idea.

Last thing I did mod wise was remove the Concept shift **** and put the Gripper ball back on. Of all my shift *****, the gripper is my favorite.

Older pic, but this is how it looks now.. Attachment 36596

I'm at work... trying to get work done while thinking about the turbo!

Here's the latest that Bill already knows:

I met with JR Granatelli yesterday and he drove the hell out of the car... in a good way! I didn't have my camera, but the guy with JR got some pictures... including a shot of the 1st and 2nd gear patches through the parking lot. We ran out of room before he could hit 3rd. He's a really nice guy and is totally revolved around customer service.

He had the tuner send me another tune, which I now have on my memory stick. I couldn't get it to upload to the Predator. He said he'll give me a new wastegate, BOV, turbo... whatever it takes... but he's also sure from all the testing that everything is working properly. He was under the car while I was revving it to 5 grand checking things out!

After work today, I'm going back to PRI and the DiabloSport guys are going to get the tune into the Predator. Then I'm going to upload the tune to the car and JR has set up 2 free dyno pulls for me at the show. It doesn't start until tomorrow, so the dyno is pretty much available all day.

It'll be on a Mustang Dyno, but supposedly, there is a "Dyno Jet" setting.

The new tune will add timing back and take away a little more fuel. When Scott saw the 13 psi, he got really conservative. Now it will be back to normal with about 7 psi max boost levels. Which is perfect for my needs.

I'll post my results tonight! I'm still just hoping for a tad over 400 RWHP. I was almost there last time!

for GMS!

I think THEY still owe ME dinner!

They didn't come out here for me - I just got lucky that I was near by.

He's been great, but we don't need to go crazy here!

Good deal on parts. (Bill jump on the LCA's)
http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=74427

BTW-Looks like I'll be getting a D/S for X-Mas. I'm getting a heck of a deal from "shaftmasters" on a aluminum driveshaft.

Tom281=Shady guy trying to ****** it away from me.

Tom-Seems like GMS is a real stand up guy. Now I don't feel so bad about having GMS stuff on my car.

Got the last of my recently purchased mods. Rotorpro's rotors came in with pads and ss brake lines a few days ago. Cant wait for next week when I'll have the time to put them on.

Hopefully I can manage an MGW short shifter for christmas. I think I've been pretty good

Give us some feedback on installing the SS lines. I am interested in that but not sure about bleeding the brakes. I know how to do it on non ABS cars and pretty much anything before 1990.... My VW could not be bled unless you had a power bleeder, so I am hesitant about doing it on the Mustang..... Unless it's the same old... pump three times, hold, open bleed valve...etc
