Ponies on The Run (Again)
I'm just giving Leo a hard time about it because he's the one who brought it up last year.
Some of you guys here may have not heard of this one before. By leaving the fuel door open, it's supposedly attracts attention to your car at the show, a TMS member swears by it.
Have to ask men, but you So Cal guys are these fires causing any of you problems such as getting close to your houses?
I hope you are all safe, isn't Ray up in the hills some place?
These fires are a bad deal to say the least. I know you guys live in paradise but paradise seems to be threatened right now and I would hate to see any of you suffer as a result!

Leo's also in SD, but he's closer to the coast.
Not sure about Ray.
I hope Ray is OK and the rest of you stay out of harms way!
I just got off the phone with Granatelli. I do have to say that their customer service has been exceptional.
If I order the Turbo, it's $120 shipping. However, he is going to reduce the price of the kit by $120 so it works out to be free shipping. (I mentioned that Brenspeed has free shipping.) He offered to do this, but also pointed out that Brenspeed's kit doesn't come with Hi-Flow cats like the Granatelli kit does.
The Turbo, the Intercooler, and the tune are all made-to-order.
If I order tomorrow, they will ship out everything they can so I can start the install. Then, when the rest are made (1-week lead time), he will ship the remaining parts.
This way I'll have two full weekends to make sure everything is ready to go for the Jack Roush show!
Something else I found out. The kit comes with a low-tension boost spring in the wastegate. Then, their is an adjusting screw that will allow me to take it anywhere from 6psi to 10psi.
Later on I'll get a boost gauge and a boost-controller. Then, from inside the car, you can adjust boost. I can keep it at 6psi when driving around, and adjust it up to 8psi for a dyno pull (or for a race!). 8psi is the maximum I would go, though.
