Daryl, I saw you posting about what type of blade to get to cut the hood. Actually, aluminum calls for less TPI:

OK I am back guys. Went to Wichita, KS last night. Stayed there then picked up my boy at the Airport and drove home.

Bill Clears look excellent on TR, your next purchase should be a set and of course the Stealth #3157 & #194 bulbs as well.

Tom here are my close-ups of the top of my Shaker Scoop.

Father & Son, reunited! That's great!

Yeah, I know the clears probably would look on my TR, but for heavens sake, let me first put my stripes on before pushing the next mod!

Your Shaker Scoop looks perfect in the pics, quite different from Tom's.

I resent the email to you, Daryl... pic should be attached.

I'm going to just send that email to CDC, since I'll probably have to deal directly with them anyway.

I'm glad I REALLY can't want to install it until the 21st!

I know...

I just sent a similar email to CDC directly. So, I'll let you all know what I hear from CDC or Mustang Tuning.

At first, I thought I was being too picky... but I guess not for $700!

For all to see:

Here's some pictures of the day my car arrived at the dealership:

They've been on a disposable camera that I finally got developed. My salesperson took the pics when he got into work that morning.

That's awesome! It would've been cool to have some pics with the plastic on (for the scrapbook).

My first pics I received from Teri had the 'Hand Off, I'm SOLD' tag on it, which was good enough for me!

It was love at first sight.

Well I am about to go "ShAkE" things up this morning.
There have been several write-ups with pictures, but is there anything you guys want me to take a picture of that you are curious about ??
Maybe something that someone didn't display a picture of ?
I will be taking numerous photos as usual. Let me know as soon as you can.
Bill I hope you are up and reading at 6:00 am on a Sunday.

You have a little time as I am gathering stuff up and reading the instructions again.

I wasn't paying attention to the shank when I bought the blades, so I had to take them back for a T-Shank pack. These are 18 TPI 3". I don't want a real long blade as the shorter the better in this application. I don't want to hit the engine, of course there will be a blanket & piece of plywood over it just in case.

I am getting excited about this install, more so than the others for some reason.

Good luck today, Daryl! I just have to get a flexible tape measure so I can find the exact centerline. Did you go from fenderwell to fenderwell, or from edge-of-hood to edge-of-hood? It should be the same for both if the hood is perfectly centered between the fenderwells.

I already told Bill this, but I used a set of calipers to measure the gap on each side. One was .012" more than the other. So my hood is off center by .006".

Look at .006" feeler gauge lately? I guess my centerline should go right down the hood ridge, too.

You two Post *****s.

You measure hood side to hood side just for that reason , you can allways have the hood centered by the Ford House. Anyway , as I said a whilst ago , I got in the stripes. Well after finding that NO_ONE wants to do this , I figured I`d take the plung yesterday. I opened the tube and clothspinned the stripes on the hood checking the gap , which turned out to be 1 1/2 in. BUT>>>>>>>>> there is a scratch down the drivers side stripe and one of the roof ones as well. Looks like it happened in the cuttin machine , as thy are in the exact same spots on both. Contacted the seller , and he is going to send me the new pieces for free. WHEW! Just ordered my STEEDA 5.0 PRO shifter this am.

OH SHI T I have a hole in my hood.
MAKE SURE you keep a FIRM grip on the jig saw. It bucked on me once, have no idea why, and it jumped across the hood a bit.
I just knew I was going to have a chipped hood
Removed tape and there are a couple of dents in the stripes but no chips and no holes. WHeeehhh

Well out to do the rest of the fun stuff. Scary hard part is done.

(Just got up ... )

About the pics, guess you can take one of the first hole saw location, haven't seen anyone post that one before.

Don't forget to put some alodine or primer on the exposed metal after you cut the hole.

Good luck!

Tom, taking notes? Wonder if a finer TPI would've prevented this.
