Ray-New mods look good. I agree with everyone else. Go with the new blower.
Jed-Looks like a clean solution.
I picked up a new 42" 1080p Panasonic LCD TV from Sears last night. It was to good a deal to pass up. It was $594 out the door. My previous 42" 720p TV ran me $1400 3 years ago. Here's a link in case some of you are interested.

I was at Best buy earlier checking out their 3d LED Tvs. monsters vs aliens looked nice on it, but it wasn't worthy to upgrade having a 1080P already.

I'm supposed to be at a 'thing' tonight to watch a MMA fight of some sort. with a little luck it'll be entertaining. At the very least I'll be able to knock back a coupla brews.

just under 11. it was under the book value, so I'm happy. Wish I could have gotten it for a bit less, but it was worth a couple hundred to me to not have to look for one for another 6 months.
the CEL is probably a sensor, I'm guessing.

weather has sucked here...raining, then hotter than hell, raining again, then humid at night, enough to fog up the windows constantly, ugh. it's rained here like everyday the past week. I'm enjoying it so far though! Can't wait to go on a sunset cruise with a temp of abot 80*

Got the truck semi-running. Six, count 'em folks, six pushrods were at the less than optimum angle to properly open the valves successfully....
The 2V intake manifold weighs approx 486.6 lbs. Fukr was heavy and I needed a sledge hammer to bust the seal loose to get it off the engine.
Suprisingly for as old as it is and as much carnage there was, driving it with the bent pushrods... it's pretty dang clean.
To reach anything you had to 'assume the position'....
Problems outstanding.....
throttle bracket jesus-clips are missing and the throttle doesn't want to shut completely.. hands a little open
The dist is a tooth retarded... so gotta fix that.
#5 cyl intake valve sticks. It was bad so that it would not close, but now it s l o w l y closes. So so that it's pushed open before it can completely close. Bang on it with a shop hammer and it'll close. With luck some ATV down the carb will free it up. I hope. Otherwise I'll have to take all the crap off of it again to do a valve job.
say what you want about "old technology" but you know what, it ran on 4 cylinders and had engine damage and will run like a champ here shortly and cost 100 bux to fix. Can't say with what happened here that anyone of our "new technology" motors would have survived. Hell ping the motor a little bit and the dam thing goes boom Sure things a dirty and a little difficult to get to, but I love working on old cars.
