After a little bartering with Pam's freshly baked chocolate chip cookies, I got a bowl of this World Famous Shelby chili! I brought it for lunch today... stay tuned for the taste test results!

Haha! Thanks guys it was fun to do I shot it using a NANO! I need to devise a better tripod mount for that thing. I used the plastic holder that came with the NANO but it added a little glare to the vid. Oh well it adds to the "campyness" of the vid I guess. I need to create a catchy intro for JCC like they do on the Food Network!
Ya Steve the Team Shelby package is great! You get all kinds of stuff Ray you need to get onboard! I think ROUSH is trying to organize a "Club" now that ROEA fell apart. I hope ROUSH is as organized as Shelby!

Basically in that chili packet is chili powder, garlic powder, dried onion, powdered oregano, and powdered cumin. I usually go by looks when making my own, but it works out the same.
I too like to use cut up beef, but the wife likes the coarse ground chili meat so she usually gets what she wants. We also use a whole onion and the only thing I do different is that use olive oil to brown the meat, no big deal, and I have never thought to add the chipotle chiles like you did. That's definitely something I want to do next time.
We also use a Le Creuset enamel pot to cook ours in. Ours is green.
I usually eat my chili with just plain saltine crakcers, but sometimes we'll put this as a chili over fresh tamales then put some queso sauce on that and some shredded sharp cheddar.

my chili is a bit more of a baked beans/chili combo...lots of beans, bacon, meat, sauce, lots of spices, garlic, onion powder, etc and etc. Oh dear is it good!

It is very similar to the Nick Fowler's 2 Alarm Chili kits that we used to use. Though I have since discovered that its pretty easy to make your own mix from a few spices.

Have you ever had a white chili? I don't even know what's in it but it sounds interesting.

Yum bacon! I would eat bacon on a tennis shoe! that sounds tasty when I BBQ, bake beans are usually on the menu too. I love Applewood smoked bacon from Neuskies or even Trader Joes's has a killer Applewood smoked bacon. I like my breakfast bacon a little on the non crispy side. FOOD gotta love it!
