Ponies on The Run (Again)
I saw that too.
Any last minute adds/deletes to the install?
I mean this is your chance to change radiators or even step up to the 3.33 pulley.
And when you pick it up, are you planning on dropping the hammer on the freeway onramp? Or ease into it and keep the suspense of its power?

Don't faint Bill.... I concur, the Fluidyne would probably be a better first choice. Then I'd think about a deeper tranny oil pan, with the intermediate servo failures on the autos I would want more cooling there ??
Tick-tock Tick-tock Tick-tock
I'm retarded today... what's the significance ??
Well if it's anything like my install you'll get a test drive with Adam and he takes you onto the freeway to drop the hammer and if you're a wuss about it, makes you go back around and do it again until you really drop the hammer.....
I think Leo will have a **** eating grin for the next week solid

First things first. My 285's feel inadequate after seeing these bad boys.

Nope. No money for it. I'd like to go with the 3.33 pulley but I think the 3.48 that came with the intercooler (Which is bigger than the 3.8 pulley that comes with the Non-H.O. Vortech) is plenty for the stock block and internals.
So as it stands the following will be done on Thursday:
Vortech with Paxton Intercooler
IAT relocation
Gauges (WB A/F, Boost/Vac, and Fuel Pres.)
I'll post the different numbers I get from first pull til the final pull.
Probably won't nail it from a stop until I have a chance to try it on an empty street. As far as gunning it on the onramp no doubt.
Yeah I thought about that too but figured I'll worry about messing with the tranny if and when it goes boom.

I don't think nailing from a start will shock and awe you, it's the pull from 3k up that will make you giddy.
Hi guys.....
Did I see a belt tensioner picture back a few pages? I've been running a Steeda tensioner and I have zero boost lag- 9.5psi instantly when I go WOT. Plus, it won't break like the stocker will eventually.

Question from this morning was why centri's don't need a beefier tensioner? Or do they?
Doesn't Auto Meter have a trans oil temp gauge? Leo?

Regarding belt tensioners......
IMO, even a centri system should run one. I say this not because of the instant boost, but because you're still putting pressure (additional pressure) on the factory tensioner that it was not designed for. Now that being said, I ran the factory tensioner while supercharged in one form or the other for 18 months with (seemingly) no problems. But, if the stocker fails, you're stuck stranded where ever you're at when it fails.
A month ago I got stranded when my PA alternator failed; trust me it's not fun. So, for $119 I put in the Steeda tensioner, which Brenspeed recommends for ANY blown application (FWIW).
