I like the super shaker concept, but I wouldnt have it, the regular saleen supercharger looks better, and the whole shaker system covers up too much of the engine for my taste. And then there's the price tag.

Death Race was pretty awesome!

That movie looks like Mad Max meets the Shawshank Redemption. DVD for me maybe I'll get a copy from Bill that would be even better

Friday went to GTR the gauges are in but need one final tweak, so in about two weeks I'll be going to GTR again.

Here a shot of the dash gauge pod, I'll get betters pictures up soon.

Tein stopped by and showed GTR these new Coilovers for the S197. We will see these at SEMA.

George I saw this posted for sale at GTR a COBRA looks clean sorry the pictures are crappy...

Went to Arizona this morning turns out my neighbor's son has a stang here's a shot...

Back at GTR this car was on the Dyno. It was the loudest stang I ever heard on a dyno. It tuned out it only had 305 RWH. It sounded like it had 600+ RWH

nice pics. They do look like more that anyone could use if you aren't doing autocross.

pretty isn't a word that can be used to describe this, however it is entirely functional and cheaper than the next equivalent aftermarket tensioner, Thump_rrr's. The Saleen and Steeda versions have been reported as not nearly as strong.

They're cell pics... my regular camera is in a box somewhere.

sounds great

I like the guage pod, but is it just the pic, or does it not fit very good towards the windshield?

Brian, is that already installed? if not, you could probably clean it up, and pant them black, and itd look better

Right now it's just sitting loose on the dash in two weeks it will be set in place. My Sirius antenna is underneath the pod right now I'm testing the reception for awhile. So far I think the antenna needs to be installed on the pod. Some of my reception is broken; I think being under the plastic and near all of the gauge wiring is causing interference. Good eye thanks for the feedback.

Here's a picture of Steeda's they all seem to look that way after being beefed up...black paint might do the trick

the guage wires are most definately causing interference, the satellite in my jeep picks up a little static if anyone touches the wires, kinda wild

I'm back!

Leo.. Thanks for the movie review. If it was good, would've been a good idea for all of us to go see it like Monica mentioned. Oh well..

SuperShaker.. I like it!

Tein coilovers.. can't they pick another color besides Chinese industrial green?

Mach 1 on the dyno.. 305 rwhp for a n/a isn't bad at all, that translates to ~350 at the crank. Sounds like its running an O/R-X.

Jed's center gauge pod.. Looks good, but I'd like to see this in person for fit & finish. At least now you have all the important engine parameters covered.

Brian's Tensioner.. That thing looks beefy! If that thing ever bends or snaps, you have bigger problems than that.

Here are some highlights from my trip to San Francisco..

in Chinatown

Haight & Ashbury

Pier 39 / Fisherman's Warf / Embarcadero

I'm disappointed in myself right now. I just accidentally ground gears while trying to make a quick shift between 2nd & 3rd gear. It made an awful sound I haven't heard in a LONG time. I hope no damage was done.

End of vent.

Death Race looked bad from the start. Like Statham and the Mustang kinda. Ford really needs to stop marketing the car to people that don't "get it" This and Knight Rider or the abomination that is KITT. KITT is a trans-am period. The abortion that will be that series isn't what's gonna make people want to buy the "cool car" when gas is through the roof. Ford needs help and these are steaming piles of what NOT to do.</rant>

Yo Jed... Nevermind the "don't tease us".... I didn't read to whole post. Isn't 301 REALLY low for a cobra, aren't they supposed to be 390 from the factory. With 15% loss it should be 335 minimum if nothing's been done to it. Numbers don't seem right, IMO

Welcome Back Bill ! looks like you had a good time.

tensioner: Several people have bent ALL of the tensioners except the Thump_rrr and Adam's. That includes the Reichart(sp) billet one.

Paint it black ??.... After looking at it I can't bring myself to paint it. Let the world see that when I whoop on someone at the track that shiny doesn't mean fast.

Dan, You should be OK as long as you didn't grind it al the way into 3rd. Get a MGW shifter and your grinding worries are over.

grinding shouldnt be a problem a few times, the trannies are reasonably durable, you'll be fine
