Ponies on The Run (Again)

After work yesterday I was cruisin down Sepulveda blvd in Hermosa Beach and I saw this 65 Stang. I looked pretty clean from the outside the engine is a little dirty and needs some TLC. It's not an authentic Shelby but it's completely badged like one. The dealership wants 31K, I think that’s a little on the high side but I don't really know. If I had a big garage I would be tempted to re-build this thing and put a new crate motor in it. I think it would be a cool project car.

I'm shocked....mine is in no danger of being the burnout king....it runs hard but traction hasn't been much of a problem....I wonder if mine is a dog or yours is just extra fast.....how big are your street rags?
How much difference did the drive shaft make?
How do you like the gears? How was the milage effected?

Not really sure since I did it after the gears. I did notice that that coasting to a stop the car didn't slow down nearly as quick as it did with the stock ds. That and the RPM's shot up quicker.
I'd say I lost about 2-3 mpg from stock to now. Stock I'd average about 22-23 on highway as were now I'm at around 20. Keep in mind though I'm always going 75-80.
Love the 4.10 gears although the car is a little louder on the freeway since it's running 2800-3000 rpms most the time. If I slow to 65-70mph it's better because then I'm at about 2500/2600 rpms. If I could go back in time would I switch to 3.73's? Only if I knew for sure I was going FI.
With intake,tune,o/r h, delete plates, and UDP's. I didn't really have problems with traction and ran 8.8/8.7. After the gears and driveshaft I couldn't get past second without having to let go of the gas in order to avoid going into the wall.
If you show up to Rickie and Ronnies I'll take you for a spin.
Probably.

Well what mods do you have? Keep in mind I've got pretty much every bolt on possible. Minus headers which I'll have soon enough. My street tires went from the stock 235 BFG's to 255 BFG KDW's.

I have a C&L CAI and the latest tune from C&L/Diablo and Basanni Axlebacks.
The car runs pretty good...it will bark 2nd and 3rd gear on dry pavement with the automatic...thats not too shabby.
I was talking to a guy today who was saying that i need to go to a dyno tune guy to get more out of my engine.....he said the "Canned Tunes" weren't all that good....
