I think since the wheels are rotating weight the savings is even better per pound than dead weight. There is a general ratio but I can't remember what it is... I think and it's probably an exaggeration that every 10 rotating pounds is equal to 100 of dead weight, but I could be wrong.
Seems to me that the amps and subs plus tires is the best savings.... Get a rear-seat delete made out of aluminum....
When was the D-Spec install.. wasn't it March

I may consider removing the sub and and amps everytime only because it gives me more trunk space for all my track supplies. It also helps avoid scratches on the sub enclousre due to all the track gear, plus the fact that both combined save me 50lbs doesn't hurt either.
No plans for a rear seat delete in fact I'll probably never remove them again.

Before. I mean not broken, but just not being able to drive the car.
Even more weight savings if you cut out the McDonalds.
Good luck at the track tomorrow night. Going to Sticky Pod it?
Is Leo considered 'dead weight'?
Brian, good luck on the Prothanes. Job isn't too bad, just take your time and all will be cool. Give me or George a call if you get stuck at any step and we'll walk you through it as best we can.

That's true. I didn't know the formula so I just went by dead weight.

Nuk Nuk!
BTW It's hotter than a june bugs butt in the summertime out here in Arizona. At night it's 82 degrees, during the day 106 degrees. I can't wait to high tail out of here I need the ocean! Departure time tomorrow 8:00 a.m. I need to go to Home Depot @ 6:00 a.m. for some irrigation things. Looks like I'll miss Cars & Coffee but I'm thinking of that show in Calabasas, any dads want to join me? Oh crap that's the same day as the Brea show Grrrrrrrr

That's Funny !!!
Hey Jed.... You know where I'll be...
Prothane install = Complete
Kinda of a PITA, but its done. The Pass. side was a little easier, less stuff in the way (no supercharger intake, intercooler plumbing). But the bracket was a pain. Otherwise it took me a little more than 3 hours or so, having time to take a couple breaks in between. Haven't done the SOTP test yet. Have to claybar, polish and wax next

Got back from picking up the 17's from Dan. So after all that came home only to find out that the difference between the 18" bullits with 255/45/18's and the 17" fuglies with 235/50/17's is only 6lbs per wheel tire combo. So in the end I paid $100 to lose 12lbs and have the front and rear rims match.
18's were 53lbs and 17's were 47lbs.

The only golf I really enjoy is Happy Gilmore , call me Mr. Stick-in-the-Mud... No golf, basketball or baseball(Soccer too but no one else watches that any way).
All kidding aside... Hey Ray How ya doin ?? Good to see you back online. Thinking about getting one of the new iMacs possibly before EOY, so maybe we can kill some baddies in BF2 or whatever games I can get going.
Spent today detailing the car, clay bar, polish, wax. WHEW. I am beat. Now I know why I only do it once a year or so, what a PITA. But the car looks freaking fantastic. So maybe I ***** about being sore, I'm not really complaining, the car needed it and now it looks fantastic. I forget how great and deep the Vista Blue is. I'm thinking of getting another CDC chin, paint it and keep it around for shows. There are little rock pits all over mine and it doesn't look bad, just not great. I don't think it'll make a difference if I get a trophy or what ever (Not yet willing to start shelling out the dough for bling that is useless, IMO) but maybe it'll make me feel better when I get to a show. I dunno.
LEO... You better post some results when you get in, good or bad. But I think it'll be good. I'd bet at least a beer on you getting a best time this time. All-out assault, you'll get you 12 I know you will
