i dont think a car is ever finished, I didnt know the 5.4's were that expensive, jeez
this is a tad expensive, but it would be cool to put a 351w in a 06

It can apply to anyone, even us recreational street guys. I crossed the line the day I installed a CAI & Tune. From that point on, I got power hungry... don't kid yourself if you think you have enough power.
+2 We've all, except the Toms & Jed, have played it pretty safe until now.
I crossed that line as soon as I bought the car. Then again if I wanted a nice, safe, conservative, everything's rainbows and unicorns type of car I would have gotten a Camry.
I will admit that if I hadn't been so hard-headed about the Whipple I would have been very happy with my previous power-level. It did every thing I wanted it to do.
Lite the tires -- Check
Sound Great -- Check
Snap your head back -- Check
Be on top of *most* cars -- Check
With just a Tune, CAI and maybe DS it's a stout safe level of power.
On another note
Just talked to Adam @ ST...
Fuel pumps are going in now. Next is the cooling system. They need to get a couple of hose clamps from the parts store (wrong size in the kit) then the tuning begins. When I get out there around 3 it should be done or possibly on the dyno, which I hope to catch.
So far so good. It could all change like *that* as we unfortunately know but it's looking favorable at the moment.

Lite the tires -- on demand
Sound Great -- scared small children
Snap your head back -- 4.10's, UDP, Delete Plates, 1-pc alum. DS & 91R... nuff said
Be on top of *most* cars -- on top of most S197's

Looking forward to the reviews!

I'll be stopping by a place called Coast High Performance after work today and see what they have to offer. They're local to me so it's worth checking out.
Brian... 2 more hours!
My cars out tomorrow. Or at the latest tuesday next time he's open. I'm hoping for tomorrow.
Brian can't wait for your first impressions.
And bill good luck with finding a good build deal.

Although the new 2010 engine may be good, no way I'm waiting that long.

Hey Bill
My heart goes out to you.
I have been in your shoes with a 96 Cobra I blew with 7500 miles and KB SCer. It turns your stomach inside out. I know. But I also know what type of guy your are and am comforted by the fact I already know you will be back stronger and better than ever. And in short order. That I am sure of my friend!!!Scott
Man Bill, I'm really sorry to see this. Best of luck getting her back together again, I wish I lived closer I would be happy to help you with it but it would be a d@m long drive.

And probably that much torque too!

No thanks, not for me. Got kids to haul around, you know.
Good suggestion..... that way he can turn it up later when he gets bored at 450!
