Ponies on The Run!
Hood pins are on. Look pretty good. Better then I expected. Never been a fan of hood pins but I cant stand the shaking at highway speeds. I'll maybe test the highway tomorrow see how she fairs. But over all I love the new look.
I'm so glad I didn't try the install... It was more involved then I could have imagined.

Sorry guys, didn't mean to tease you.... I didn't take pix because I honestly didn't think most people would be interested; I posted I guess because I was (am) excited!
Once I finish the stripes sometime soon, I'll be ready to go minus a good day doing "spring cleaning" since we do drive in the rain and snow here.

The Beatch nut
Well,
The Shaftmasters install is complete
We finished a couple hours ago. The pinion flange wasn't too difficult, with an impact gun and George on the job we got 'r done !!!
Unfortunately it's raining so I can't really get on it as much as I'd like to see what the real SOTP-o-meter registers. I haven't done the 80+ test yet. Again rain and not being on the freeway yet is the large reason.
Other than that I've tested a couple of drives and no moans, groans, knocks, bumps and anything so overall I am very very pleased.
I have to also thank all the POTR guys. What a great support crew. You can't ask for better. MANY THANKS I truly appreciate it.
I am sure the Mustang Paparazzi will post pics shortly, I hope you enjoy them.

That's Don_W. I remember when he first posted that like 2 years ago.
opinions, they're like.... well you know what they're like...
So in my quest to find the "right" wheel, I've realized that I'm either to cheap or old-fashioned to like the majority of wheels out now, if I could afford the CS69 or other CS wheels it'd be a closed case. Basically I've got two on my mind the DD Bullitt, chrome of course or the FR-500 type. I was looking at the black FR500s and I thought I'd ask what everyone else thinks.

or should I just stay with the Bullitt wheels ?? But what gets me is that some look alright and some are too deep for the front wheels, so I don't know which to get/shop for....

vs

vs a 17x9

See what I mean, the middle image, IMO is too deep for a front wheel... but look at the 17x9, it looks alright....
The frustration of not knowing what is what is making me look at the FR500 wheels just to make it all easy, but I've always liked them, what do you think ??
I'd also have to worry about the TPMS thing too, right ?? OR I could avoid this whole thing and force 275/40s on my 8.5 wheels.... or will putting that sized tire on my rim beg for problems.
Halp !!!

I read that thread yesterday. I don't know what his prob was, I used the Steeda install bolt (as we also did with Leo's) and no issues to speak of.
In fact, may even use this same install bolt on Ray's.
With your exterior theme, I'd stay with polished/chrome. Had you went with different colored stripes, it'd be different.
I know you don't want to run staggered, but I think you answered your own question.. run the narrow Bullitts up front, DD in the rear.
As far as the 275's on the factory 8.5 Bullitts, guess it can be done. But, I'd like to see a pic of this setup to see how much sidewall bulge there is. That may be the deal breaker.

I did goof up my threads a little but was paying attention enough to realize it, stop, fix the threads and then continue without any additional problems. Between this and the other one it makes me think that these people aren't normally mechanically inclined and just take it all for face value without paying attention to the details at all. For that, there is no fix.

I was wondering if it was Don_W. That's so awesome that he sets off the car alarms. That's what my Stang will sound like.
