Thanks Tom.

I also saw from those pics where you installed the T-tap for your boost/vacuum gauge.

Oops, forgot to tell you that..... yes you're correct, that's where I got mine from. That line that I tapped in to is the same line that runs up to the factory regulator...... you could check it out on your car and imagine that regulator about 1.25" higher than now- I think you'll find that it will be hitting your shroud.

$145 for a catch can?? Where's yours Jed?

Does any one here have a catch can? I typically see it installed inline with the drivers side PCV hose, but what about the passenger side? Doesn't oil make it's way to the TB that way too?

In fact (Tom), what happens to the passenger side hose that went to the side of the intake elbow?

Check out Mustangforums on the 4.6 specific forum there is a 9 page thread on a oil separator and what it will do. Not going I/C I think you'll have less of a need than an I/C car.... Still from what I read if I have to spend 200 buck to reduce the likelyhood of detonation then 200 bucks it is. Detonation is to be avoided like a plague

I have this thing it came from Kenne Bell...
I'm going to change it because it looks so HomeDepo. It works fine and is easy to clean but it won't get any points at a show

Bill I think you should use this....

I don't run a catch can..... I haven't noticed build up like some people have.

Bill, the air line you asked about will get reconnected to the inlet on the blower.

I probably won't either, unless I see a reason to (specifically oil spooge build-up in my TB).

Ahh, thanks.. I was wondering where that hose went.

Can a non SoCal guy ask a non S/C question?

Bill, oh Mr Taco................

Seeing that your Mustang is essentially a garage queeneeee I've always wondered how much gas do you leave in your gas tank at any given time?
  • Is it always full
  • Half Full
  • Quarter full
  • Fumes ha

How much gas do you have in the tank when you do all those video freaking tire roasting, smoke pouring, RPM blasting, shift slamming burn outs?

Seeing that I have NO mod money I'm reduced to asking questions and following along as you guys tear it up, thats if we no Left coaster can jump in.......

Oh and by the way congrats on the S/C Bill, I knew it was a matter of time...................

If you recall I started on you way back to jump on that soap box

I can't even imagine what the video's will be with the S/C, good golly this should be a total hoot.

Yeah you can ask it, but will it catch our attention ???

Wait.... wha, what was the question again ??

Can't answer for the Taco himself, but for me Full, Half, empty tank hasn't mattered to me. I am an equal tire roasting offender. But it's looking like I won't make 20K on the set that I have now

It looks like all the subtle subliminal messages worked.

Well, lets see...
+1 to what Brian said. The added fuel weight out back makes no difference at all; tires get roasted black all the time.

From a fuel freshness standpoint, I typically keep 1/4 to no more than 1/2 tank of gas in at a time. This way I'm not turning my Super Unleaded 91 Octane into turpentine.

And Phil, you have mod money, meaning that your finances are in order. It's time to give it a little whack and shake things up!
