Oh man... I was the king of "I can't do this" in regards to springs. I was really really dreading even attempting it.

It only seems daunting. Get a compressor at a Checkers/Kragen/Schucks which ever you have in your area, they rent them for 24 hours and you'll get your $$ back, 55 bucks here in SoCal.

Get the service manual assembly/re-assembly instructions PM me if you need it. Look over Bill's How-To. It's what 9 bolts, you CAN do it !

Remember this pic?

Attachment 30103

I took a picture while washing it:

The bottom half is what the entire car looked like in the first picture above.

Is the Zaino still holding out? Just wondering if the 'lasts for 6 months' is true or not.

Well, the dirt comes right off with little to no effort, so I would say yes.

I'm too lazy for that! I probably haven't waxed it in like 3 years.

Still looks pretty good though!

For some of us (Leo, Rayman, pville piper, and I) 5 minutes after washing the car it's dirty

And I recruited two helpers to install the Ultra Lites with me. My son in-law and my son in-laws friend. Looks like it will be either next Sunday or the following I'm dependent on there a availability.

Can't wait, thanks everyone for the clarifications and answering all my questions.

Unless your helpers have done springs swaps before, stick with the plan and don't short cut anything. Remember, it's a $30k+ car your modding, not some seasoned Fox body.

Got some more tips for you when the install gets real close.

Waiting for Leo & Brian's 1/8 mile time slips...

I'm expecting better times from Leo from his UPD, CMDP install and new drag tune.

Bill I fully plan on staying course with the plan and your instructions. They are there for holding onto things when I need them. These days I need extra physical help, not up to par as I used to be if you know what I mean.............

Thanks Bill

I have installed another HD TV in the bedroom. A nice 26" wide screen HDTV. Setting up another connection to the antenna that supplies the locals HD signal. I have this antenna installed in the attic. I also have an antenna installed outside for local HD channels. Now I have a total of 4 HDTV's, one 50" Plasma n the game room, 19" in the kitchen, 37" in the living room and the new 26" in the bedroom. Its hard to live without HD once you get used to it. OK I admit it I'm a TV junkie.................

I was also tying in the desktop PC to the 50" plasma so I can use it to view picture content or PC display or any video content from the PC or audio files thru the home theater amp. I now have 1 terabyte (1000GIG) of hard disk space. This helps with the bit torrent downloads

Another reason for limited mod money, I know my priorities are screwed up but I like tech and I am an electrical engineer first. This automotive stuff is a challenge for this geek head

I also have about 5 PC networked throughout the house doing all sorts of things for me, geek, geek , geek I am, sorry guys.
Not at all, I think most families are spoiled by technology now. The home we just bought has TV monitors on the front porch, backyard in the pool area, in the kitchen, in my work room, 3 bedrooms and in the den. Four security cameras scan the exterior 24/7. Yikes! But we love it!
