Yeah I on the non-rocker stripe bandwagon. It does look good though Bill, I just wouldn't do it to my car. The only ones I really like are the Ford Racing stripes.

Why do you guys dislike GMS so much? Do you guys do the sway bar delete just to save weight? I guess I just don't get why you would want to take away from your car's handling capabilities.

Brian- That sucks about the UDPs. You're right, you can't win them all. Hopefully another good deal will come up for you. If the guy is being shady about it, better not to buy from him.

I normally don't like the rocker stripes, but those fading stripes look good IMO!

Personally even the GT500... which deserves them I'm not a fan of them.

I've read enough on GMS and not just on this site and the famous feud. It may be only 25 bucks but I just don't like how they conduct themselves. Kinda like RPM outlet but in a verbal sense as well as the actions they take.

Every other transaction I've done I've gotten a response fairly quickly. If the dude sold them before I PM'd me he could have told me and I'd be OK. To wait a week then say oh yeah I "might" have found a buyer, sorry is weak-sauce.

Back in the day, I too was not a fan of any rocker stripes. I only put those Saleen style hash stripes on the front quarters just to break up all that red. It worked to an extent, but it was still missing something. These fading stripes IMO are the Cat's Meow baby!

Kyle, GMS struck a bad chord with many on the Mustang forum community with their less than innovative products. Obviously, not all their products are bad and I'm sure some are quite good, some even at a great price (like what Leo scored). However, regaining the public trust for them is a slow and uphill battle. Nuff said.

Hey, for me to say I like the rocker stripes MUST mean I like them, cause I have taken the rocker stripes off every Mustang I have had that had them...

That ridiculous Mustang stripe they put on the V6 gives a bad name to all rocker stripes!

If you're going to shoot the crank pulley, mask off the belt drive and apply a thin layer of grease over the rubber seal on the face of the pulley (per Steeda Gus).
You may as well paint the water pump pulley while you're at it too.
Huh? They're painted already... At least the crank pulley is, the water pump pulley is like blued. What I was talking about was the timing marks themselves.

I like your stripes, theyare way better than the hash marks.

Sorry Bill but I'm not a fan of the stripes either. But that’s what makes this fun, we all have different tastes. I'm not a fan of the racing stripes either which should be no surprise lol My brother on-law is always beating on me to get some white stripes.............................

OH well they work for you Bill and thats what count! If you are happy I am happy

Those rocker panel stripes look great Bill.
And I for one, and apparently the minority here, love the rocker stripes. breaks up the see of Red, Blue or w/e other color you have.
Then again I am biased, but not alone.

Yes, the crank pulley already comes pre-painted. What I was talking about is since they were 'previously owned', they may show some marks/wear in the paint. That's where re-shooting it comes into play.

Can't see why you can't paint over the timing marks.

Actually, they are in great shape, the only place the paint is off is where the belt rubs. But other than that they look brand new. The painting I was talking about is the ticks themselves. So they look like this.

Mine is all one color without the white paint. I just wonder how I can do it without making it look bad.

Leave it alone and call it good. If the rest of the pulley was a mess, then I'd say paint it.

Wow I didn't expect so many negatives on the rocker stripes.

Yes removing the Swaybar and adding the Swaybar delete removes 25lbs of the front end. Like Tom and I have stated though there was no difference in handling with the swaybar removed. Try it out.

Daryl-Did you ever trim your shaker?

Tom-Where the heck are you? Still playing with the Trooper?

That's okay Leo, the last thing we need at the carshow are 3 GT's with fading rocker stripes!

I think Mickey is still looking over Tom's shoulder.

Just ordered the Coast Driveline 4" aluminum driveshaft and BMR front loop from CR at Tillman Speed.

Shipping out today, so I should see it by next Wednesday.

This will be the last of the big $$$ mods. Next big purchase will be the wheels and tires.
