who here's running a bama tune on 87? How are the benfits, worth it? I already have enough fixed car expenses without bumping up to premium.

Good to hear as I'm not a fan of the Roush wing anyway.

I like it but the wife doesn't. She told me to put it back the way it was. I didn't bother explaining why that wasn't possible. The only thing I'm considering now is covering the "tub" or putting the ducting back in. If I'm going to do that I need to find a way to make it cleaner. Here's what I thinking.

I'm running an 87 tune right now and it's OK but the 91 is better.

Off topic but it's a nice trip down memory lane.

I'll find a pic of what I'm talking about and post later.
Here's the pic.

I remember that post by you. We didn't know you that well back then.

On that pic, it may be a homemade duct (as in not from CDC). It looks like a slip-fit (that's why there's only 1 clamp). You know that you'll need a new heat shield, right?

Yeah I don't think I started posting much in here till after I met you at the R&R car show.

A slip fit?? Where would I find something like that?? Yup I know I'll need a new heat shield.

Tom- Wasn't aware you started on the Shaker project already.
To answer your question, I'd say center the hole cut-out and do what you have to do to center the scoop.

It would look good on a TR Vert to, with Black stripes. Hmm what about Black Mach 1 Style Hood stripes on a TR Vert with the Shaker ?

I would, but Doug won't give me a "Good ole boys" discount!

Seriously... I will most likely get the Xcal2 and JLT combo as it will come down to the fact that I might be able to get something else on my list if I don't get the Livewire.

Thanks, that was the type of answer I was looking for. That's something I'll probably save for when it's not a daily driver...

I've decided I'm going to go ahead and try the paint route. Worst case scenario I can always buy the FRRP covers.

Now we know why he hasn't been posting these past few weeks. He's moved the 89Trooper up in priority.

Somebody HELP! They're after me!

Actually, I have considered it. Not only does it look nice, but it is not that common around here. But I would rather spend it on a tune and CAI.
