Seems to me if he was doing a comparison he should of taken the temp difference of both head unts not the intake manifold. With that said You can't deny the intercooled setup will yield cooler intake temps thus more hp than non-intercooled.

I don't know if there's a difference or not but I would think they were talking about the temp of the unit itself and not the air temp. If I was going to do a comparison on it I would measure the temp of the unit casing itself. Again don't know if there would be a difference or not between the 2.

I didn't say this test was conducted on a blown car or on a plastic manifold. Purpose was to compare the metal surface temperature on a non-polished vs polished finish, which in this case was the manifold.

And who's talking about IAT's of cooled vs non-cooled?? Just the words itself are self explanitory.

Like I said it's all really shaky. But essentially I'm looking at getting a saleen blower and then paying the additional $1249 for all the crap to convert it into the supershaker. Assuming this goes through my install date will be pushed back even further but I'll have the blower I really want. If deal doesn't work out then I'll just go through with current plans for Vortech. Didn't really want to post about it because it's less than 50/50 that it will go through.

I know that. I was insinuating it was your car because of the camcovers.

I agree with George, if its the Saleen blower you really want, then make it happen.

It's not like you're deciding between an Alpine and Pioneer, but the choice you're about to make is worth thousands of dollars. And with that kind of commitment, you don't wan't to settle for your second choice.

On the contrary, if your wife is on the verge of stringing up your ballz, stick with plan A.

Again Ditto,

Get what you want the first time around, anything else is a waste of install money Not to mention down time.
