Same for my dad. He passed all the tests to be a fighter pilot, but couldn't pass the eye exams, and didn't want to fly otherwise.


Anyone know if they accept Lasik surgery patients for flying now? I would think it woulnd't be any different than if you had perfect vision to start with, but I'm curious.

I dont think they could tell if you had lasik, so that would probably work. But most eye doctors recommend waiting until late 20's to get the surgery so your vision wont change much after that age

I was short of 20/20 by literally a couple of letters. It killed me for weeks. I think my prescription now is -.75 and -1.25. It was better than that 25 years ago. What's ironic is that my wife has her instrument license and can't see a thing without her glasses. She jokes about using them for weight training, they're so thick.

why does a woman need to take a 30 minute to 45 minute shower ? 80 gallons of hot water !!! all used up .. that`s the only reason she stops ....

85 wasn't it? I would have been 10. Don't feel that bad lol. I'm blind without contacts. I still have a set of glasses for late nights that the lenses are about as thick as my iPhone 5 lol.... The same reason why it takes them an hour and a half to watch 60 Minutes.... Haha I kid ladies I kid.
