I love the middle of winter - where you're acclimated - like Feb with a foot of snow all over like the angels covered everything in shaving cream. On a perfectly still cloudy day. No wind, no breeze, not a peep out of anything... and you can actually hear the snow falling.

Then a few days later when the storm has passed and its bright blue above and the sun is glaring off the bright snow.

Even better, after midnight on a full moon where the moonlight glistens little sparklies on the snow and you don't need any artificial light to feed the horses. Faint smell of the wood smoke from the chimney up at the house. Horses nickering waiting for their food.

You make it sound nice Charlie. I'll take my zero snow and deal with cypress stumps and flies year round.

Of which has been continuing because of the Chile and Japan tsunami's IMO. The Chilean tsunami abruptly ended El Nino while still winter and switched right into La Nina. No neutral period that typically takes place. But nobody believes me. Because they know nothing of the impact the huge Pacific Ocean surface temps has on world weather ranging from increased evap cycle/cloud formation/storm creation from heavy solar activity, to lack of solar activity allowing excessive surface cooling, and the subsequent effect on ocean currents that affect monsoons to droughts and everything in between. But then churn the ocean (super cold) bottom to top from continent to continent in a matter of hours??
Suck it algore, my V8 played zero role in that.

Have you seen the size of those low pressure systems coming out of Gulf of Alaska already? They look more like December than September.

Not once did I ever complain that it was too hot! Even when we had a 130 degree heat index.

Except for Pedroia. Naturally. Guy's intense!
The Red Flops tend to do that in September. Sometimes they recover, sometimes they don't.
