Has anyone had these spark plugs break off when trying to replace them?

 

Friend of mine with a F-150 had a 5.4L, guess his plugs were a two-piece design and they broke off in the head when he tried to change them out. I think I have heard or seen this problem several times before, hopefully someone else here has actual useful information but I just saw no one had responded yet. Just responded so you know, YOU ARE NOT ALONE

gotta soakem with the motocraft carb cleaner tune up stuff. Do search around here and you will find plenty of info
