Jacking up the rear end

Jacking up the rear end
Is there a safe way to jack up the rear end of the car all at once rather than doing one side at a time? (2005 S197)
I have read that you should NOT jack it up from the differential but I don't see any other way to raise the rear all at once.
I have also read that doing one side at a time to get the whole rear end in the air puts stress on the axle tubes since you would have one on a jack stand while the car is on an angle.
I have jack stands so I will be using those but I just want to jack it once and be done.
Thanks for any safe and sound suggestions.

Many people including myself jack up the rear of the car by placing a jack with a block under the "pumpkin". I've been doing this for 5+ years, and I'm always wrenching on my car. Perfectly fine

Be careful. I'm one of the few where it didn't turn out so well. You know how normally as you're lifting, the jack rolls under the arm as it pivots up? Mine didn't do that. So as the arm pivoted, the jack basically pulled itself out from underneath the pumpkin and ripped open the stock diff cover. Also bent the panhard rod. Luckily I was smart enough not to be underneath the car when I was lifting it, otherwise I wouldn't be here to type this. Lots of people lift by the pumpkin without a problem, but after my experience I'll never do it again.
