My question really wasn't regarding the legality of a interceptor badge. My question was and still is will the addition of such badging be looked upon poorly by other mustang owners. It isn't a mustang badge, but I would think it isn't as bad as putting snakes on a V6. At 41 years of age I know better than to do that.
Regardless, the interceptor badge may or may not go on. Once my mods are completed I would like to add it, however the contours of the deck lid are odd on the '13/14 and I may have issues with proper adhesion.

I wouldn't worry about it

That would be the Declaration of Independence July, 4, 1776; not the US Constitution which went into effect in 1789.
We hold thesetruths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that theyare endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, thatamong these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That tosecure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, derivingtheir just powers from the consent of the governed,--That wheneverany Form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is theRight of the People to alter or to abolish it, and to institute newGovernment, laying its foundation on such principles and organizingits powers in such form, as to them shall seem most likely to effecttheir Safety and Happiness.

Putting a snake on a car that is named after a particular breed of horse, is just silly period and nonsense. Pony's don't like snakes or cobras. Snakes aren't buddies with horses, therefore its stupid to place a snake emblem on your pony. Lol.

Well......I have been giving this ALOT of thought.
The difference here is that I honestly could care less about what
Another person does to their car (unless my neighbor decides to run a straight exhaust on his car and fire it up at 4am!).
Nothing anyone does to their car "disgusts" me?
I may not personally like it, but I really could care less, and it doesn't bother me in the least! (And that's probably the way it should be!)
And why I couldn't understand the thinking behind it.
In the end, I'll probably try both and see what looks best to me.

Ahhhh...but you couldn't be more wrong!
It IS all about what I want! It's my car!
I wasn't asking what I should do! I was asking for the thinking behind it?
I honestly couldn't care less about what anyone else thinks
Or says about it? I have no interest in car shows, people commenting on it or "passing it off" as anything. (Is a stock GT with cobra badges really gonna fool you??)
I also think there may me a maturity issue going on here as well. I suspect
I'm older than most here..

I think everyone is not fully understanding his question. Why is it "acceptable" to put on certain mods such as Boss wheels, GT500 wing, Roush grille, but not the badge that it represents? I think it's a fair question. He didn't ask if it was ok to put on a Shelby badge because he picked up some Shelby wheels. Half the guys that do mods in here have a GT500 spoiler from AM but that's fine. It's a double standard. Not sure share the rational comes from. For the record I do have Roush parts but no badges. I love the Roush badges but the backlash from the mustang community is not worth it
