I Made A Big Boo-Boo
Was installing the K&N Aircharger after I got off work. I had to remove 2 of the valve cover bolts to put on the holding bracket for in the intake, as I bolting the back in the bolts, I over tightened the one bolt and the bolt snapped.
Called my dealer, my sales guy, told him what happened and he said just bring it in and we will see what we can do, he would have to drill a small hole in the bit and get it out with some type of tool. Is this gonna be an expensive repair???? Anyone??? God this just made my day and Im sooo upset right now.....

I think it's really going to depend on whether that can extract the bolt without removing the valve cover. Time is $ and R&R of the valve cover is more time. As far as getting the bolt out, should be no problem. Good mechanics get good at thise things.

Don't worry its no big deal. They will drill a hole in the broken bolt and us an "Easy-out" to get the piece out. Then ya just replace the bolt. Very simple job....Ive do a million of them on old manifold bolts
its in the very front of the valve cover, its easy to get to and a piece of the bolt is sticking out, i mean if I had a pair of good tweezers I could probably twist it out but I know I'll probably break the tweezers too, its seems simple, I just don't want it to be expensive and have to replace a whole piece of the engine cause of a bolt

Probably get charged an hours labor and the price of the bolt to get it done. Or, go to a hardware shop and buy an "Easy-out" mentioned previously. It looks like a cone shaped drill bit that you run in reverse. As it bites into the metal, it will loosen the bolt. You usually have to predrill a hole to get it started. Really easy to do.
It should be cheap. Especially if its easy to get at....1/2 hour job...hour at most. heck I can easy-out a bolt in 5 min. on my 67 coupe....believe me...Ive done it many times !!!
