Yeah I fixed it, been along time since I actually patched a tire. But you never forget.
Pretty darn close to sidewall. Nearing the inrepairable area as is. I do have road hazard protection on the snow tires so replacement woulda been free, just waiting for the replacement woulda took forever.

Jebus, talk about a flashback. Oh how I loathed the tire truck. Once a week, the 18 wheeler would pull in, and i'd be climbing the tire rack like a monkey to place the tires in the corect order. Only to miss a size, and be forced to move them all. While that sucked, I do miss have a real shop and all it's tool available whenever I wanted.

Kind of a change of subject, no "screw" involved, but my ds front tire has a small gouge on the sidewall. Hubby and brother-in-law say not to worry, but I was wondering what Stoener thought.(I read somewhere he was the tire man )

65205 should be ok if its not showing any cords in the tire

and man did i hate that truck.. sooo many tires, and i wasnt a very strong kid lol, tall, but not much muscle so i was dead tired. haha, pun intended.
I started when i was 12 filing invoices and stuff, later moved up to some computer work and eventually i got to do car stuff.
tire changes and oil changes and a few tire repairs were all i ever got to do.. which was just as well b/c even then, i learned alot from being around other mechanics. i was pretty stoked when i started out lol. i mean, it was a job at least, and it was in my feild.
now hopefully i can move past auto maintenence and repair to auto design lol.
