Hood latch broke on 2001 mustang , how do i get it open?

 

Depends on where it's broken.

At the handle, just have to get the cable out of it and yank.

At the latch, you'll want to look at this picture:

Might have to find it, but the one that shows the back, you'll see where the cable goes to pull on the latch. That is the bit you need to push on to unlatch the hood. You can get to this with a screwdriver, on your back under the car's front. You'll want a buddy to lift the hood, and a light to see what you're doing.
