HID or not

I'm still up in the air on the first Mustang without the power passenger seat and the heated seats. Another dealer here found the same car (WITH the Comfort Package) at a dealership about 3 hours away. It's a bit more than the one here, but they're offering me more for my trade in so it's a wash. I get more for the same amount of money.

However, I do have a question regarding the HID headlights. Are those something that most buyers get or not. The Mustang I drove did not have them and on highbeams it didn't really illuminate the road that well. The low beams were actually better than my BMW but the high beams were a little dimmer. Any comments on that from people who have or don't have them would be appreciated. I guess I could get by without them.

Also, would it make more sense to just order a car with the options I want? Would that be more expensive or the same? I've never ordered a car before.

Thanks.

There's a power passenger seat option?

Yes. The Comfort Package includes dual power seats and heated seats. $595 from the factory.

HID is very nice.. I do have them and I drive very litttle at night. I live out side of the city, so the roads are very dark. They help more for my driving. LOVE the power & heated seats as they are for the wife enjoy!

I bought my 2011 GT without the HID package, which costs $900. I installed an aftermarket HID bi-xenon converstion kit for $200. The difference over base halogen is huge. The light beam is now 10x as strong and 4x as wide.

I have HIDs on my MKZ from the factory. I like them but then again it is the only car out the 4 I own with them and honestly I could live w/o it. They are brighter but I have gone this many years w/o them. The $200 bulb would be a bit harsh when needed.

HID is standard on many cars .. including the 2013 Mustangs .. they are a nice option .. and include an Alarm/Security system as well .. so maybe get an insurance discount.
