I have a 09 Stang GT/CS that came with HID headlights from the ford dealer. I was pulled over by a cop because my Passenger light was out. After the cop and I looked at it we notice the bulb was good but the fastener clip was missing and the bulb popped out. Any way I had an appointment with the dealer the following day for oil change and had them look at the light issue. They got back to me by stating I damaged it and it doesn't fall under warranty. The Stang is 2 months old and haven't touch anything other than wash wax. I complained to Ford Corp. but they are backing the dealer on this issue base on the Pictures provided by dealer. I looked at the headlight myself there is NO damage just a missing clip. Ford stated that I have to purchase the entire HID light Kit to get the clip they don't sell them separately. Anyone know where I might find this Clip at???

 

Wow that stinks....... would it be worth trying a different dealer? Although your complaint may be in the system now.

 

I'm going this weekend to see a new dealer. Apparently according to Ford Corp, they don't sell just the clips separate from the kit. Nor could they tell me the manufacture for them.

 

Well no thanks to Ford Corp. I fabricated my own clip.
