Half-Cross Country run - thoughts?
Hi guys - I've secured a new edge GT and picking it up in Texas on Thursday and driving it back to Connecticut over a period of 3-4 days - any suggestions of what to perhaps see or stop at on the way? I think my stops will be Little Rock, AR --- Murfeeesboro, TN and Roanoke VA on the way back. Appreciate any input.

Thanks - looks like it will be a couple hours to and from my route which runs thru nashville. My total time looks to be about 25hrs and to add another 4-5 might be a bit much. But thank you!

There's a bar on the river near Birmingham Alabama with a portrait of Bear Bryant on the wall that serves ice cold beer.
Can't remember the name of the bar. Or the river.

Definitely take a trip through the Tail of the Dragon area. There are a ton of roads around there that are spectacular.

I'm assuming Dallas area if you are going through Little Rock.

Certainly agree. It's worth a detour if you don't plan on coming south again in the near future. Not only the Tail of the Dragon, but the Cherohala Skyway and Blue Ridge Pkwy. This is just part of what you'll be partaking in (the last photo taken by the pros on the TOTD. The other two by yours truly):
