I just hope and pray the Mustang, Hemi, and Vette will help put an end to the rice age. Because the only muscle cars left are the Mustang and the Vette.
What about Thunderbird and GTO?

By the way, here's a good picture. Mustang in front of everyone.

No import has a heritage in the eyes of Americans like American Muscle Cars. Name one import that does. Not going to happen.

Good for you man. You keep that mind closed up tight. Wouldn't want any "crazy talk" to change your viewpoint. Some examples of Imports that have "heritage in the eyes of Americans". Lamborghinis, Ferraris, Volkswagen Beetles, Datsun 240Zs, Minis, Jaguars, and Porsches - just to name a few. Muscle car fans are not the only American car buffs out there. If you can't accept that, then I'm sorry.

The only Japanese cars with possibility to be valuable will be, the front engine, rear wheel drive. Anyone notice that, all the popular cars that are wanted are at least RWD. Example. Skyline, The Z cars, RX-7, and the Supra, those 4 will be valuable, not the Civic or Eclipse.

The Eclipse GS-X is pretty coveted, but that's AWD.

Yeah, there's a massive DSM following in North America. I know of at least 3 guys who wouldn't drive anything else.

The 300 was the original muscle car, not the GTO(a sedan in the 50's w/ 300 hp [hence the name])

Yep, but really the only American muscle cars now are the Mustang and um...(can't count the GTO, thats Aussie, the new 300 is part German, the Corvette is a sports, not muscle, car, maybe the Escalade?)

And Decipher, I agree, in 35 years all of us youngens will have to deal with our peers driving around in their 'classic' STi's and Civics listening to 50 cent

Many of my peers would love to have a Nissan this or Honda that...so, they've hit the about the same popularity as Pontiac or Dodge had back in the '70s, it's part of our growing up years, and will be popular as we grow grey...

edit: (ooh, and I would love an 1965 MG or 1953 Benz SL, mustangfun101)

Civic Hybrid...

I saw something on the news about the advertising lying to the consumers...

They advertise (around) 60 mpg but really only gets (around) 22. That's worse than my little 15 gal. Saturn. Highway I get around 30 and city I get around 25

And you're right, 05Fan. The Viper and Corvette are NOT muscle cars.
You would be correct, sir. However, neither is the Mustang.

He meant... that most trend cars aren't coveted classics. If you had a 60's van, mint, and wanted it in a car show, they'd laugh, but a 60's stang or vette, mint, they'd kiss you and let you in.
