Looks like they are skimping on packaging. I order my alternators from Amazon for this same reason. If it is broken they will ship you another over night at there expense for life. They also double box them. This is what happens as company's try to cut corners.
At least there working with you.

Years ago I sent my Saleen dual gauge pod out to be painted to match my tan dash. I was in Alaska btw.

The pod was retuned and an empty box showed up just like yours.

Years later, I still wonder who stole that pod. I wish them a life of chronic hemorrhoids.

Even back then, that thing was not cheap. Version 2 below.

I hear ya, and karma's a b**ch, someone may be laughing cuz they got a $280 alternator, but they will get theirs.

I in the meantime opted for the refund, thanks Alex and please keep me posted, I need to buy an alternator..

UPDATE-Had to call AM today they said there were no notes in the order on this issue(?) and would request a refund to the card, I should know by Wednesday.....

So much for the requested callback. Losing faith day by day, lets hope its refunded by Wed I am SOL on options with all my cash tied up in this nightmare.
