Why Do Folks Quote Entire Posts?
If you are commenting on a post and it is obvious what you are commenting on, like answering the original poster's question, there is NO NEED to qoute them.
If somebody posts some killer pics, why quote them and have the same pics show up over and over with everybody's comments? That's why this is read in order, every time you quote, we have to read the same thing we just read.
When is quoting good? When you are addressing a particular part of somebody's post, to help clarify what you are referring to. If your comment is on the original topic, there is no need to QUOTE everything that has already been said, we already read it.
You know, you can hit the quote button and then edit out what you don't want to quote. Give it a try.
I'm just trying to save space....and stay sane and interested.
~~Notice I did not slam anyone in particular, I'm just giving my opinion as to how to make this place better than it ALREADY is!~~

Yea, I thought I would sneak it in since NOBODY will read it here.

Read what?
Actually, when the thread gets umpteen pages long, its good to have quoted WHATEVER you are replying to. Because if not, those that are trying to read the latest have to back track through the WHOLE thread to figure it out.
Re-running pics is fine with me, if it goes with the reply. IMO

It annoys me as well especially when its long post that are being quoted. I turned quote embedding prevention on so it should only quote the person's post taht you hit reply on.
