It seems that I cannot log on to the forums without cookies activated. :notnice:

It also seems that when I leave this site and forget to log out, and come back later, even after disconnecting from the net, I am still logged on. :notnice:

I wonder if the latter issue slows down this forum at all?

thats what the cookies are for. when you signed in the first time, you had the option to use cookies on, so you wont have to sign in everytime you enter the site. cookies let the website recognize you so you wont have to log in. if you want to log in everytime you enter, just log out, and then when you log in, uncheck the box that says something about letting the site remember you or somethin.

no hay problema

lol....I love the cookies keeping me logged in...untill I delete them to vote on the Forbes poll a bunch of times, and I have to log in and I don't remember my passwords for anything. I wrote it down this time. Thanks for letting me back in! B)

Pretty much any internet forum is going require cookies to be turned on. If not, you would have to login each time you click on something. That'd be a major PITA now wouldnt it

If you dont want it to keep you logged in after you leave, choose the "do not remember me" thing at teh bottom of your login screen. This will only keep your cookie active untill you leave the board, upon next return you will have to log back in.
