Newest update... picture shrinkage

I notice with the newest update, when you upload a photo, say 1024/768, it gets shrunk. Just wondering if you planned on keeping this. Being a photography buff, I can't stand seeing pictures distorted. I understand I could post a picture 600 wide, but this is 2008 and most people are running high resolution monitors. Any possibility of turning this "feature" off? Or can you set it to start shrinking when someone posts something over 1280 pixels wide?

No. When I link to something in my flickr or photobucket account, or even when I upload it to here... Instead of a bottom scroll bar popping up, the picture gets automatically resized. It really distorts pictures.

Nevermind, it must've been turned off already.

The picture I posted above is resized in IE7, but not in IE6 or Firefox. The only image modification (that I know of) happens with attached images. I'll keep playing with it, but I've always linked big images offsite.

Maybe updating to the new Firefox 3 fixed it for me. Who knows. It's not doing it now, so I'm good.
