When we open an old thread with many new posts.. it will be helpfulful that the screen goes to the 1st unread post rather than going to the first post in the thread..

I have seen this option on other forums.. is it possible on our TMS forum???

 

What "forums" software were these other forums running? vB doesn't have that feature unless you click on the link from a notification e-mail.

I think your best bet would be to use the Net Posts link on the Navigation Bar above. I believe it may work the way you are wanting it too.
