Thumbs down

Here is the last few months I have noticed more and more posters
being chastized for posting questions or comments that have been delt
with in the past and that can be accessed through the search feature.

Well I think almost everything has been touched upon but how else do we
have a forum where we can talk to each other?

Otherwise this thing just turns into a internet encyclopedia instead of a
forum.

I just dont like the moving and closing of of so many threads here lately
because most people here just want to connect with other enthusiasts...not
just Google a search feature on the site.

ok...I have vented. Those newly appointed moderators please lighten up
and remember the spirit of the hobby...

Thanks

The mods are doing an excellent job in maintaining some semblance of order in the forums. They're not chastising.

Consider all the topics that aren't moved and aren't things that could have been found through search. There's plenty to talk about. No way nearly everything has been touched upon, there's always new stuff going on.

Now I'll expect this thread to get moved to the Feedback category.

My 2 cents;

It is dangerous to fix what isn't broken.

Although initially I didn't like the changes , now I find that it is easier to find subjects of interest on their Various Forums.

The Mods are doing a commendable Job and a Site that doesn't change will become Stagnant and Die.

Remember: Let's keep it FUN! eace:

I have never been accused of being overly sensitive so maybe Im just use to the old way. Someone new wanted to post about yellow stangs and to post pictures. He was excited and was told that there was already a thread on it and killed it.
Did he go post on the old thread? nope. Anyway...I just hated to see it.
I really dont think that thread would have bothered anyone. I dont want to spit up examples.... Im just sad about that. Anyway.....I vented in the wrong spot
so move this over to feedback. Or does it really matter? Arnt we just talking (so to speak).

the topic you are talking about has been reopened, since basically that is sort of what you were asking. We are just trying to keep a little order within all of this chaos. We, the mods, have been asked to try to keep the site organized. If people insist on opening new topics without searching, or just because they want to reinvent the wheel, well, I guess so be it.

As for moving topics, well, this one belongs in the Testing, Help, Site Feedback section, where other topics such as this one are.

That's the key word.

You mods should make it mandatory for anyone that complains to serve as a mod for a minimun of a week, and do what they are asked.

I guarantee there wouldn't be so much beaching.
