Thinking another Mustang...

Hey Guys,

Its been a while since i've owned a mustang and a few years since i've owned a Ford and now i'm getting the itch for something fast so I found this site to gain some insite and put together my plan that I can sell to the wifey and keep the house a happy place, if momma stays happy I get more HP and Toys!!!

Looking forward to catching up on what's new in the Blue Oval world and if the Hot New Boss is something worth building upon considering the cost of ownership or finding an old school say 66 to 68 fastback or coupe to build into a Road racing Trackday animal that's fun to drive yet Drag Race fun too with all the amenities and comforts we need when its Cali Hot... Would be nice to have a sweet modern 5.0 with Twin Turbo's backed with a Killer 6spd and enough power to get into mid 9's on DR's. My last 96 Cobra had a full Griggs Coil-Over suspension with Koni Yellows front and Rear, Panhard/Torque Arm rear and Full Griggs K-Member up front, that car ran great with 95 Cobra R wheels and BFG R1 Tires, Brake upgrades and Rear Gear (4:10) made that a great SCCA car and a decent drag car with the Torque Arm, yet it didn't have any power compared to what I want to build now.
I'm talking dedicated standalone twin turbo motor with serious ability on pump gas, yet capable of running on Race gas too, may even go Backhalf car to get the wheels size out back I want to run, lots of ideas and mostly, I know i'd love the new Boss, yet for the cost I think I can build something nearly as good handling, yet much faster without worrying about smog for much less, yet it will take lots of sweat equity and gather the right components and some time invested, but this is my present thinking.... I am just in Awe of how well the New 5.0 runs and how capable it really is when modified and fed some air...

Toys are built and planned first, now to get planning.

Larry from Ohio, now been in Cali for a little while....

Welcome. Have to say I love my Boss, not much of a chance to take it to the track since I picked it up in September then put it away for the winter in November.
