Beautiful color! Probably easy for factory robots, but I always wondered how humans can do tri-coat and make it look even. I mean since the clear is tinted, the thickness should change the appearance. Factory robots can probably lay all the clear the same thickness but how do humans? And even harder when blending.

yeah, I can do just about anything mechanically, but painting is outside my wheelhouse. I’m fortunate to have found a really good painter near me. He did the fiberglass hood for me and matched it spot on.

These are my 4th and 5th Mustangs. My first was a 64 1/2 coupe, 289 4v, automatic and we just didn't take that many pictures back then (72). Next was a '72 convertible, 351C 4v, automatic, exceptionally cool car. Then there was the 93 LX convertible, 5.0, 5 speed with the optional 3.08 rear gear. Next is my dream car--2007 GT500 convertible, bought new in 2008--it had been the dealer's showroom centerpiece for over a year. Finally, just acquired last month (9/2023) a 2005 GT convertible, automatic. I am the 3rd owner and knew both previous owners personally. I've know this car since 2005! The 4.6 & automatic is all new to me. I've been so steeped in the 5.4 & Shelby cars that I'm quite ignorant on the 4.6--but I'm learning FAST! It's a much more dramatic car than the GT500. I love them both! I'm going to ask a LOT of questions as I also have not dealt with a car with this high mileage (137000) in a long time. The GT500 has 72k on the clock.

I hope the old members keep coming back along with the new members.

Us old dudes can offer experience while the new guys have more understanding of the current market trends. We can work together to make a better Mustang forum.

Joined in 2004 and last posted in 2015 but I'm hoping to have a reason to be around again. Had a 2013 V6 in Gotta Have It Green and unfortunately traded it in for something "more practical" back in 2015. Wife and I never really expanded our family and are moving to someplace warmer than the Chicago area by the end of the year. We're just using my wife's car right now and she's getting tired of it. She wants me to get something I'll enjoy and keep and we both know that 2013 was the only car I ever regretted trading in so she said I can get a new 2024 after we finish moving and finish paying off her car. Should be around January or February. I'd love an Ecoboost in Atlas Blue Metallic with the Nite Pony Package and the Ecoboost High equipment group. Not sure I'll be able to order one though so I may just have to see what's on the lot when I'm ready.

Anyway, I look forward to being around here again and seeing other's 2024s and more again!

Wow, Sent Out Some Friend Requests To Some Old Brad Barnett Days Members! I Got Them Accepted and it Really is Nice To Know They are Still Plugged into the Site and Perhaps they Will Come and Update us On Themselves and Their Cars! Regardless it's a Great Feeling to get a Response! It's Just Good to Hear Back!

@GrnT

It Was a Really Good Time in Those Days and a Lot of Great Folks!
