It has the only flat-plan-crank engine in a Ford which was copied by the Corvette Z06 5 years later (they are always late).

I always try to post the MSRP sticker so here: $60,000
Thank you for reintroducing yourself, Doc and also thank you for posting those images of your 2019 Shelby GT350... She's a real head turner, to say the very least...

I suppose I'll also jump onto the reintroductions band wagon... My first name is Rocky and yes, that is my real nick name... Anyhow, I first became a member over 17 years ago and have remained active on a consistent basis, ever since... My very first Mustang was a 1978 Mustang II/King Cobra, followed by 1990 Fox body GT, 1992 Fox body GT and my last Fox body was a Black 1993 SVT Cobra... Since then, I became the owner of my first S197 GT which was factory ordered in November of 2004 and delivered in February of 2005... I then later went on to upgrade to my current 2006 Torch Red GT which I continue to still proudly own, up to this very day...

Reason: Revised Text
Rocky, I bought the car new in 2007, and got the blower installed by Brenspeed back in 2011. The blower has always been noisy, and like you, all heard is that the noise is normal for this blower, but I never had a chance to listen to another one to compare. It seems to be a little bit quieter when the engine is hot. It’s been on the car for around 35,000 miles, and I’ve had no issue with it.
Agreed! Saleen used the same 2.3L Lysholm S/C that was standard for many third-party supercharger OEMs back in the day; and although Saleen stated that amplified rotor clash was normal for the Series VI, they never explained why. In my opinion, FWIW, its due to the S/C having been flipped upside down and mounted at the bottom of the encasement (which is designed to accommodate the longer runners for cooling). The result is that the empty space in the encasement acts like an echo chamber/amplifier that makes the rotor clash ungodly loud. So, while its normal for the Series VI, it can be irritating at times. Just my .02, I could be wrong.
Edit: BTW, I personally don't consider this as a design flaw, simply a consequence.

Thank you very much for your reply, Mathlin! I do recall that Brenspeed was an authorized Saleen service center back in the day up until Saleen discontinued production of their series VI superchargers, followed by filing for bankruptcy in 2011-12 IIRC? Anyway, I've owned my current 2006 GT since 2013 after owning my previous 2005 GT for 8 years... I knew the original owner of my 2006 GT who traded it in towards his 2013 Shelby GT500... When I noticed it was sitting on my local Ford dealership's car lot, I inquired about potentially trading in my 2005 GT in exchange for the 2006 GT... Being that I had this friend of mine who was the new car sales manager at the time, I was curious to find out if he would possibly be interested in offering a fair price for my 2005 GT towards the 2006 GT as a trade-in... After we both we're able to work out the numbers, the trade-in became official... When I purchased the car in 2013, it had just 7,047 original miles and knew the original owner had taken very good care of it and had never driven the car in bad weather conditions who always garage kept it when not in use... Those along with the Saleen VI supercharger were my reasons for my interest towards making the deal become a reality... A few days later after taking ownership, I began to have major concerns in regard to the loud rotor clash noises that (John) RedFire281 brought up in his response and following my extensive research with Jason from 281motorsports.com, Jim III from Ford Raptor, Mustang, Shelby, GT500, F-150 Tuning - JDM Engineering (teamjdm.com) and from saleenforums.soec.org. they were all able to reassure me that the loud rotor clash noises are normal due to the inverted design and therefore have no reason for concern... Fast forward 10 years later, there have been no problem issues with the Saleen blower on the 2006 GT which currently has 31,340 miles...
In the meantime, thanks once again for responding back and for sharing your personal experiences with the Saleen VI supercharger, as its most definitely great to know there is no reason for concern....

Hey there, John! What you brought up about the rotor clash issues does make the most logical sense and I totally agree about the amplified rotor clash noises being directly related to being inverted/flipped upside down and mounted at the bottom of the encasement by design in order to accommodate the longer runners for cooling and possibly provide better airflow in the process as well... In the meantime, thanks for replying back and also for providing very valuable information that I found as very reassuring, to say the very least...

Stoenr! Thank you for reintroducing your 2006 GT and also congrats on still looking just as awesome/going strong at 90k... In the meantime, also welcome back to the forums...
My main car is our 2016 Mustang GT (picture below). It's a forever car.
My almost forever car is a '78 Trans Am WS6 I special ordered. Still has less than 30k on the clock. I say almost forever because I plan to give it to my son after some freshening.
Previous Mustangs were an '89 LX 5.0 and a 2011 Performance Package.
Have no idea if I have a picture stashed away somewhere of the LX. It was a Saleen "orphan". Steve had ordered more white LXs to convert than demand, so Ford rerouted 2 of the last-minute cancellations to my local Ford dealer. Of course, I had no idea until well into the paperwork but nothing special, just a typical white LX 5.0.
The 2011 was a last-minute decision (picture below). I had driven a regular GT early in the year that didn't quite grab me. The Performance Package wasn't on my radar until the order banks were closed and there were only 3 at local dealers a red, black and yellow. I didn't want those colors so I made a deal to buy a white one in a small New Mexico mountain town in late December. It was a special order the buyer bailed when too late to cancel. I was a day from my flight there when a big snow storm hit. Didn't want to drive it home thru snowed in mountains on summer tires, so made one more round of the local dealers and found a Grabber Blue that had been there awhile but never made it onto the web site inventory. The sales department didn't even realize until I dragged one out to show them it on a back lot. Got one hell of a deal on the last business day of the year. Owned it until a few months after buying the 2016.
We also own a Tesla Model 3 Performance. Not to save the planet. Mostly for the 3 second 0-60 and filling it up in the garage for peanuts. Susan drives it mostly, but I take it out for a G-fix now and then.
