Wow these are nice!

My adjustable wrench is just an ordinary olympia industrial. Came with a full tool box I won a lottery for at work from a guy that retired. Who knows how long he had it & I've had it for close to 15 years. Has nice patina on it.

I'M BACK!

I have rejoined the Mustang Source having rejoined the Mustang community. I have owned 4 mustangs, a 2008, 2013, 2019 and now a 2024 EcoBoost Premium Convertible. In my mind, if you buy a Mustang, it HAS to be a convertible!

My wife complained that the Mustang door was too heavy and in a moment of insanity I traded in my 2019 Mustang for a Kia (I know - oh the shame). However, I missed the convertible and decided the heck with it and just traded it for my 2024. It was used having 2,100 miles on it. It is Grabber Blue (where does Ford get these names) and I am loving it. The Mustang has the 2.3L High Performance Package and Brembo brakes.

I live in Maryland near the NASA Goddard Space Center and hope to have enough warm days left in the year to enjoy top down driving.

Its good to be back and I hope to take part in Mustang meetings and gatherings in the area. I am also in the early planning stages of a Route 66 tour, maybe for the spring! We'll see.

!

^^^ Beautiful car LouL and welcome! Yes, Rte 66 can't be beat. We have been there several times. Like 05stangkc mentioned, our trips are in the road trips category. Feel free to ask questions if the need arises.
I agree about color names. i'm not sure who has the craziest names, Ford or Dodge. My Gotta Have It Green resides with my Go Mango R/T.

Welcome back to the club! Glad to see you understand the errors of your ways...

Even though I am not a convertible guy, I do love my Mustang. You have one sharp looking Bright Blue one. Congrats on a great find and a nice looking car.

Edit: Hey notice you haven't posted a set of pictures. Got to share more than one! Love to see more of you 2024!

Nice Mustang! Grabber Blue came from the '70 Mustang, the times of the Boss and 60's came up with cool paint colors and names. Dodge seemed to be on the top of the list for wild colors, but Ford had their own.. I'm originally from Davidsonville Maryland, Look up the SAAC Group of Maryland club.... Don't let the Shelby moniker fool you; great people and you don't have to have a Shelby.

Welcome back to our Mustang community, Lou and also congrats on your new 2024 EcoBoost premium convertible in Grabber Blue, as she's absolutely stunning.

Stopped by to check in. Minivans, a 94 Bronco, and an F-150 have been in the drive; but no Mustangs at the moment. I did pick up a daughter along the way through, and at 42 no less. My advice? Get the kids when you're young and the Mustangs when you're old!

No kidding, I was 38 when my son arrived but fortunately being in the business I've always kept the Mustangs. I must have done something to keep me at least looking young because I met a guy this weekend buying an old F-150 who as we were talking said "I want a '71 because that's the year I was born" and I was shocked thinking to myself...What?!? I'm older than you?!? You look like your 69 years old!!!.

I have had just two, but both have been convertibles. They followed a '98 Jaguar XK-8 convertible, a Morgan 4/4 roadster and a '07 Honda S2000. My Mustangs have been named Maria, as in They Call the Wind Maria - top down and wind in my hair. Yours is a beauty. Here is my current '20 GT.

Makes me feel sad that so few Mustang owners like this format anymore. There are many older Mustang owners so they all can't be flocking to the newer stuff. I see that first hand at the Challenger site I belong to. It is ultra active with older owners like me. I have no clue

Just curious, when you say "this format" what are you referring to? I am a member of at least 10 other sites (between Mustang, BMW and Jeep SRT)...format wise, they all look about the same to me...but, I am may be missing something? I am all ears...

Most people nowadays flock to Facebook. Probably under the guise of: I already have it, so it's convinient.
That being said, I feel forums are more close-knit. You find way more info on here, where in FB you need to weed out way too much irrelevant stuff. Plus, I don't need to share the Mustang hobby with friends that don't care about it. So I do have a pre-disposition for forums.

Plus I rarely post on FB... I mainly use it to read and to have a safe-location for online games I play

Yes, it seems a lot of people for some reason stick more to Facebook....the problem I see with that is misinformation...and TONS of misinformation. Also trolls either arguing or trying to spread misinformation or just plain trying to set people up for failure. Forums like ours is are still a solid source for reliable accurate information. I know myself and many others don't even bother to respond to most of the threads on FB simply because there is always someone who wants to argue with wrong facts or just for the sake of arguing....others just want to tell people wrong answers so they can sit back and watch the fire burn they started and see people fail....it's sad. Because of that mentality and behavior there are a lot of knowledgeable people who don't contribute on FB leaving people who don't search more reliable sources to fend for themselves when things go south.
