called the erl number yesterday for the first time and it said that "there is a production hold because of materials...". does this mean that it is scheduled for production this week? wasnt expecting my car for several months and saw people on here with similar order dates getting orders soon that got my attention. my priority is 10. anyone know?

Hard to say, Stang. Without knowing what the ERL might have been saying previously. Any other option packages you ordered? One of those might be the item that tripped a materials hold.

We're getting there! Congrats on the build day, that's the day after my birthday. I'm locked in for tomorrow, the 17th. My car's birthday will be exactly one week before mine.
So looks like your car will be built on MY birthday! August 17th. Mine will be built next week somtime. Week of the 22nd. -Marci

Cool, Marci! Soon we will be amongst those celebrating and posting pics! I can tell Kentucky relatives to be on the lookout for a smilin' gal in her Vista Blue!

You'll KNOW when I have mine - I think the whoopin' and hollerin' will be easily heard in Montana!

We even went out tonight to a dealership just so we could just see for ourselves what the Pony Package looks like. It looks spectacular I am happy to say!! We saw it on a windveil blue vert. It was beautiful!! Maybe that will tide us over until we get ours. According to ERL, she is supposed to be built on the 27th. If what I understand from this board is true ... she said as of the 27th this car is locked into production the week of the 22nd. Or something like that. Whoo hooo!!!

That'r right Marci. The actual build date may move some (a day or so at most), but we're both on track!

Look forward to seeing your pony package!

Is the ICAP the red leather interior? If so, that will look really sharp with a black GT!! You wiill have to send pics when you get yours too!

That is indeed the red interior. My bride and I have been amused that we'll have a red car with a black leather interior and a black car with a red leather interior side by side in the garage!

By the time I am done, Brad will have probably PM'd me to PLEASE STOP posting pics!

I'm looking for photos of our Fox-body Mustangs too. I already posted a few of the '69 earlier in the thread. The '69 was SO much fun; it's hard to imagine the new Mustang will actually exceed it!

I have pics of my '89 so I need to scan them and post them over on the foxbody area sometime. We just sold her like a month ago. So sad. She was my first car. My husband's first car was a '65 mustang his parents bought him. Seems as if we are destined to have blue mustangs (his 65 was blue, my 89 was blue and our '06 will be blue!)

That is cool about the red with black interior and black with red! You will have to take pics in the garage of the two together!

And you can see my penchant for black Mustangs!

I'll get photos of the two in a more scenic location than the garage. There's several other Mustang owners in the neighborhood (including one with a windveil blue GT and a blue 1967 couple) and even a neighbor with a very pretty 1966 Fairlane GT (pretty uncommon, from what I can tell).

I'd like to get us all up at the nearby diner for a photo fest! There's already a gathering on Monday nights there that I want to visit.

Jon - great to hear that your delivery date is fast approaching. These last few weeks of waiting can be torturous - I remember well!

Here's hoping everything is smooth sailing and maybe the car comes in sooner than expected. Enjoy!

Marci - best wishes to you too on your new Stang. Both Kentucky and Va will have even more natural beauty to enjoy than ever before in just a few weeks!

Called the ERL, and she said "As of 8/30/05, your car is locked in for production week of 8/29/05." From previous posts, I believe I have a build day of 8/30/05! I know I haven't waited as long as some of the people here, but really, I have waited 25 years for a car like this!

Cool!! Theoretically I am supposed to be built tomorrow 8/26. I will call tomorrow night and see if they say that we have been built. I guess our cars will be buddies!! That is if GT's hang with V6's.
