VOC (vehicle order confirmation) you should get this from your dealer when you order. It's just a print out of all the options with codes and prices. A few days later if the dealer really places the order, he gets a DORA (Dealer order receipt acknowledgement). It will have the same date on it of the order, but he won't get it for a few days. Having a DORA means that Ford has the order. Things to look for is to make sure the options (body type, color, options) are correct on these sheets.

The ERL is a 800 number for dealers to call to check on orders... it's mostly automated (voice response) unless you screw up or asked for a live person. So anybody can call it and read off the codes to check status of your order. Need things like dealer code, order number, body type code.

On MSRP, if your a regular guy like me (not able to get a plan price) I'm not the best to answer that, cause I wanted to order my 06 back in April. At that time 05 at my dealer where MSRP no more no less. Which was good cause others were marking up a lot. I could have had an 05, but I wanted the Tungsten color. So I held out and that put me first in line for an 06 at my dealer. I'm prepared to pay MSRP, but when the car gets here I'll see what I can do to bring it down.

Here's what you'll need:
5 digit Dealer Code
Body type ex. T85
and most important Order Number
when you get all this just call the number and they will give you the status of your order First you'lkl get a Clear and Unscheduled, then youll get serialized and then a build date and then a shipped date and then a arrival date dont know what's after that.

NCPolice...Thanks for the info, where on the DORA would it list the Dealer Code and order#, mine has a six digit letter number code for the dealer, and it won't work.

Going to my dealer to place an order for an 06 GT, Tungsten, with 18" blades. Just can't decide on vert or coupe. Interesting thing is my dealer is telling me that while he'll honor x plan he doesn't have 06 pricing yet.

Any idea where I can point my dealer for pricing? It's amazing that I have more info on the 06 than he does thanks to this forum.

Darth, I messaged you over where to find the dealer code, it looks something like F12345, all you have to do is use the numerical numbers hope this helps

I haven't called the ERL in a week or so. I may have to call again. I know she will only say "clean and unscheduled".

But there's still this crazy thrill that comes with just having the car ordered!

I guess it is time to adjust my medication level again!

Ya Paris I agree with you after putting in my order I was every other day calling but then I finally was able to pull myself away from the phone and trying hard not to think about it didnt call for a couple a weeks, then before I knew it I was finally serialized and it was down hill from there.

Called the ERL and received the next piece of good news today

I am scheduled to be built the week of August 22nd!

Now I have to find out if I have a VIN!

Keith, you can contact your dealer to find out about the VIN. They update their sales sheets weekly, and the latest printout from Ford should give you your VIN if your car has a VIN assigned!

If you are scheduled, you have a VIN. The VIN is assigned as soon as the order is selected for production and the sched week comes within a day or two after that.

I called yesterday and am also scheduled for 8/22.

That should put delivery sometime around my birthday on 9/21.

JohnP - that's awesome news... I called yesterday too. Scheduled for week of 8/1 and guess what... my birthday is on 9/11. Here's to hoping we get our cars by our birthdays.

"ISELLFORD" quick question: you think that even though the changes from 05 to 06 are small (ie re-tuned suspension for 18" option, stuff like that) that there will be any quality holds on the first batch of 06's? Any thoughts on this? I know you have one with a vin number just a few hundred in front of me.

there's nothing like getting your car on your birthday I got mine right down to the day before my birthday so I got to drive it all day for my birthday, what an awesome day it was!!!! And here's to getting your cars with a build date it's all down hill from here...CHEERS!!
