Well I originally joined a while back but without having a mustang I mostly just lurked, and read to keep up on news and stuff. Been a car guy and a mustang fan my whole life, and now finally have the car to go along with all my apparel, posters, books, signs, key chains, etc.
I'm from IL, about an hour north of the Chi / just south of the WI border, and in addition to the Mustang I also have a '79 Trans Am (recently finished restoring my entire interior).
Now that I have the car I'll be a lot more active around here so figured an intro was in order.
Only requirements were eight cylinders and a stick.

Also this is an old one and not that great but the only one I have on hand of the T/A

My family and a good deal of friends kept telling me I was going to regret getting the stick. But after driving one in auto and then getting mine I can honestly say I can't imagine having this car with the auto. Auto is fine for some people and to each their own, but for me the stick is the way to go and just makes driving a ton of fun again.
As of now she's just a base GT. I did tear out the stock speakers and put in new infinity's the night I drove it home though. Those rear deck speakers are a bit of a b*tch to get at. Was unaware I was going to need to remove a good deal of the rear seat trim and such to get at them.
And thanks for the T/A love guys! An F-Body and a Mustang living harmoniously under the same garage roof
I'll get better pictures soon now that its nice and she's cleaned up again.
Good lord what a nice car, both of them! Welcome, but why Illinois? I mean, no hand guns allowed AND a front bumper plate? What kinda backwards *** crap is... I mean, what the heck does a front plate do for anyone anyway? Cops USUALLY approach from the tail, right?

And regardless of our IL laws my front plate was not supposed to be put on if it had not already. The problem with that though was I didn't order my car. Long story but the short version is it was transferred between 2 other dealerships before mine scooped it up and one of those two had put it on : / but other than that it was exactly what I wanted. So I wasn't going to wait the time to order the same car just so it would come with the plate off lol.
