Yea now we gotta hope all our little duckies line up in a row. If they do we close 8/1.
I get to pick everything down to the walls- right now its just barely studded up. I get to pick carpet, paint, the dining room walls I want(half,column or arched), I get a check to go get my light fixtures(gimme hohouse chandeliers please with little liberace tinkly things on em), I picked grey and tan brick and clay siding-thats going on next week.
NOW the fun part of making sure it all goes through begins. My checkbook is also woefully empty.

At this time my beautiful yellow mustang is a shade of red clay mixed with cement grey. I have had her all over this construction site all week.......AND its been thunderstorming all week. A filthy shade of nasty it is. :notnice:

The retaining wall(our possible lot backs up to a road, no houses behind us ever) is an easement
I can't wait to see what Christmas brings.......

I have resorted to drugging myself with Tylenol PM to sleep because I am so excited I can't sleep! I am about to make myself puke. I kept thinking- plantation blinds here, I want this chandelier, OOH I like Olive green for the walls! OOH new curtains! OOH what do I do with the tv thingy above the fireplace(my tvs too big to go in) What kind of sleeper couch should I get, Do I want arches or half walls for the dining room, Should I do the kids bathroom in lillypads and frogs or palm trees.....Jees. I lost less sleep Eleanors first night home. I think I may

This is too exciting! But we'll never hear from you once you're knee deep in carpet swatches and paint samples.

NOTHING in front of house. You get 3 bushes and some pinestraw. I partially picked my house because it has a sidewalk and some grass instead of a huge cement pad. Its a 9,000 house(eventually) development and they want it to all look uniform. Hence no white trash houses around. There's a few in this neighborhood(no HOA) and they make me cringe- junk cars and trash all over the yard. No birds lizards or snakes as pets either. I plan to get a Doberman and Siamese.
The backyard is however, your domain. I have big plans. I gotta convince the HOA to let my Dad build the fence( I want it done right)
If we both get in, my hubby and his friend are laying fiber between their houses so they have a constant dsl link to play games online.

Congratulations on the probable new house. Looks like 2005 is the year of April - new car, new house - quite a year.
Now relax and take your time as to the planning what you want inside the house. Work on the structural aspects first, i.e. the half-wall, colums or arch type deals. That way the builders can get those done as quickly as possible. Then deal with the floor, wall and countertop colors and types as those as finishing touches and can be changed almost up to the last minute. The furniture and any fixtures you add that they don't - just take your time, you'll hopefully be there a long while and you want to get it right. No need to have all of those ready for the move in.

Waiting on the payment, the house is about 30k more than I was looking to spend. I was looking at a 140k house, this is significantly more.
Needless- Its Friday evening and I won't know jack till Monday morning so I am spending the evening with Mr. Jimmy Buffett and his fine margaritaville tequila.

The FOUR of us are now unable to talk about anything but the houses!
Last night we had card night. Did we play cards? NO we stayed around till 1 am planning what we are doing.
We are planning a wireless internet with firewall between us.....
linking our playstations together via underground cable..
planning our gardens.........
Chester their Pom and Eddie my JRT are the best of friends- we planned out playdates for them....
I planned out my Dobie and Kitten I will get.......
We picked out lights in our head, and counters...
And guess where we are headed as soon as I have some coffee? Off to see the builder......We just stumbled on a gold mine.
It happens my hubby and his friend do the same thing. Our friend is a contractor for us.....We just discovered the builder can not find anyone reliable to run voice and data cabling on the houses.
DING DING we just formed a second company.
They do cable and phone systems for businesses.......
The home voice and data market is untapped. We are meeting with the builder to get him to let us do that for him- because he told us he is looking for someone.
at $200 a house X 1,000 or more.........There's my cobra. PLUS we have more cable laying around here than any human needs. They currently run crappy cat 3 crap cable in there.
That will get my mini blinds and high dollar castle table from World Market.

Been there all day today. 
Dreamin and a plannin.
Met our new neighbors. Turns out their house is our houses twin. Down to the siding. They are moving there in August also.
Going to pick out paint and samples soon!
Burned up- its 100% humid out there. :notnice: So we went and had mexican food for lunch. Its so humid out my AC vents got condensation on em.

Last night we were playing cards. The men got to drinkin. Then they told us our houses had FIVE houses between ours.
Guess where we headed off to at Midnight last night,kids in tow? You got it.....
(Of course the women were right, its 4 houses between)
I have placed a No go Zone on the house until next week.
