Wow... that is **** cheap!
Have fun with it... Gears of War is an amazing looking game! although a bit short lol. Make sure to put it at the highest difficulty to get the most out of it... triples the lenght

I can tell you though, they have a "Register your Wii and get a 90 day warranty extension" offer.
Site's been redesigned a little, confirms VC list and pricing.
Also, the News and Weather channels won't be up at launch, they're saying "by the end of December" and nobody seems to know for sure right now if the VC will be up at launch.

Yea, reports say that the Weather channel will be up by mid-december, and the news channel will be up by January.
The VC channel is going to be up on release.

I spectated my way down the interstate- until I got to the inbred walmart, was 12th in line and brought one home with Zelda,2000 points and a classic controller. We waited in line for 90 minutesAll the others we went to had at least 40 people in line- meaning 20 of them were SOL!

I went to Futureshop at 6am... they opened at 10am
They had 30 units...
started handing out the numbers at 9:30...
I was #30 !!!! hahahahah
THere were at least 15-20 behind me.
One kid was so bummed..he showed up at 7..he was willing to buy it from a lady.
Picked up Zelda and Red Steel...totally forgot to get component cables...
and it was FREEZING out!!
My feet and hands are numb...

Its a lot of work.
The wiimote is amazing.
Zelda is beautiful!!
I picked up the controller to play Sim City and classic games with but have not played any yet. ( I am too involved in my xbox to bother with the Wii right now)
Oh and Ebay has them for $600 now.

Can't wait to hear yours impressions on it!
I'm going to have to play the waiting game because I have to buy a new TV first. My TV is so old that you can't connect a DVD player to it.

I'll look elsewhere.
Also.. its sold out EVERYWHERE...
Zellers had 3, FShop 30, ToysRUs..all preordered...Costco here (not sure if they carried any like in the US) EB... Walmart and Bestbuy...by 7am when a guy and his little girl came into the lineup

I went to a Walmart WAYYYYYYYYY Out in the country, about 25 miles south of my house.
Not only did they have the 20 Wii's(with only 17 people waiting), but they had a boatload of classic controllers, and nunchucks and Wii accessories.
Our classic controller is still in the package, I haven't played it yet. Brian however has been playing it all morning, and is in love.
We started in the city, There were at least 40 people in each line, and we got SOL twice before I decided to go to the land of Deliverance and wait. Funny- its where I got the Ps2 also, and I was #12 in line for both the Ps2 AND the Wii. They hand out tickets to the first 20 people.
I did play with the Wiimote for a minute,it moves with you, freaky!
With that said, I am retiring upstairs to tend to my pinatas.
