ARGH, the return of the SNES (YX/BA) Setup! It confuses me so much when playing Xbox360 (XY/AB).

 

Why couldn't Microsoft just copy Nintendo's set up... like Sony copies other Nintendo features

Sony was planning on shipping 4 million also, but it seems like they wont be able to meet it. Those Blu-Ray discs are giving them fits. They slashed shipments by 75 percent

And the PS3 was pushed back to March (instead of December) in Europe because they are focusing on the U.S. and Japan markets first.
Not a good move if they want to sell in Europe

 

I'll wait at least a year on the ps3, if I get one at all. I have zero interest in blu-ray/hddvd and there aren't any exclusive titles I have any interest in especially with GTA on 360. GTA VC and SA sold me on 2 PS2's; With VC I convinced a roomate to buy one, with SA, I bought a used one off ebay.

I'm definitely getting a Wii but I need to budget the money for it, I have a lot of expenses coming up soon. Hopefully people won't go bat**** crazy buying them out and putting them up on ebay.

 

I don't even want a ps3 anymore. Too many troubles. We cut our losses and went xbox.

When the Ps2 came out, Brian and I each picked a walmart and sat in line for 5 hours to get one. Both of us got one, we returned the second one.

The Wii now.........

I wish they had a thing on it like the Gamecube so you could play gameboy games on it.
And I hope Animal Crossing is released for the Wii too.

 

I really haven't played my PS2 system in over a year (too much fun with my car, lol), but once I saw how much the Wii is going to cost, AND that the old games will be available to download, I may think about his system. For me, I WANT THE NEW METROID!!!

BTW, with PS3 coming soon, is Microsoft planning on lowering the price of the 360 by any chance, to capitalize on some of us (myself included), who hasn't gotten a 360 yet, and outright refuse to spend $500 or $600 for PS3 (Sony is insane)?

 

I had heard that the 360 would be lowered in price this holiday season, but I don't know anymore.

I have no desire for a PS3. Sony shot themself in the foot with all these delays and upping the price.

Sony= Theres no way this poor college student can afford one, and i'd rather use the money on a Datsun 240Z

 

How about PS 3 Blue Ray ? due here Nov 17 th ish and some Sony stores only being told about 10 each for just over 600.00 and just to buy a Blue Ray player is like 1200.00 so for half that price and game capable sounds kinda cool, supposed to take PS 1 - PS 2 then PS 3 games?

 

A device to play movies on is worth about 50 bucks to me, blu ray doesn't interest me at all, dvd quality is perfectly clear. 1200 for a movie player is ridiculous and inflated, Sony is just trying to recoup losses from all the money they ****ed away on R&D for this tech.

With the loss of gta as an exclusive, I don't have any reasons left to want a ps3.


I've been very happy with the performance and interface of the xbox360, it's all the high end next gen hardware I need. The Wii is a perfect price for a simplified fun platform, and I'll pick one up as soon as I can.

 

Yea... there's going to be a nasty shortage of PS3 consoles when they are released. I wont be amazed to see them go for 1,000+ bucks on eBay.
I believe it will be around 300,000 units on release.

Well, there should be no shortage... but there has been some problems with people trying to pre-order many Wii's to try and make a profit off it (stupid Microsoft and their moronic moves created this problem).
Amazon had a Pre-Order for Wii's but they had to shut it down because too many people were ordering multipe consoles. The good thing is that they fixed those orders and cut them down to just one each.

 

 

Well, they are in the works on a new laser gun... and they showed a new version of duck hunt during one of their shows. Not sure if they will release the new version, but for sure they'll have the one with the invinsible dog on their virtual console lol.

 

I hated that stupid laughing dog!!!

As for the PS3... I may buy one ... JUSt to turn it over on ebay that day.

great idea on the PS3. You'll be able to buy a bunch of Wii games with it, especially since they will mostly be 50 bucks, not 60 or 70 like the PS3

Getting a bunch of wii games on launch...zelda for sure, red steel for sure... probably some others.
Metroid Prime 3 got delayed, and Mario galaxy will be in 07 as well.

Just can't wait for the gun attachment for shooting games on the big screen (Resident Evil etc)

I just won't be spending any money on the Virtual Console portion, unless they are new (which some developers will be doing)
