That's a long ways to go for the wiring! Also, in a cabinet like that, the equipment won't be able to breathe like it needs to. The receivers get quite warm and airflow is key. I think that drawing will work best. It'd be hard to put much else in that space. Throw the TV up on the wall, put a small open entertainment cabinet below and between the two speakers, and run the cables down and along the wall to the back. It'll suck to have to put down a guide for the along the door way though.
I've got about 12 feet of cable between my receiver and my rear speakers, and I can hear a slight delay on certain modes.
Another tip, even though you're not getting top of the line equipment to start, make sure you get some good speaker cables (don't be fooled by that $80 monster crap). It makes a huge difference. I had the factory cables hooked up while waiting for my real ones to come in, the difference is huge. I bought two rolls of this, and have about a half one left over.

She swears she doesn't snore because she doesn't know how to mimic snoring--and she doesn't, it's hilarious to listen to her try to mimic it. But she most definitely snores in her sleep.
