That's a long ways to go for the wiring! Also, in a cabinet like that, the equipment won't be able to breathe like it needs to. The receivers get quite warm and airflow is key. I think that drawing will work best. It'd be hard to put much else in that space. Throw the TV up on the wall, put a small open entertainment cabinet below and between the two speakers, and run the cables down and along the wall to the back. It'll suck to have to put down a guide for the along the door way though.

I've got about 12 feet of cable between my receiver and my rear speakers, and I can hear a slight delay on certain modes.

Another tip, even though you're not getting top of the line equipment to start, make sure you get some good speaker cables (don't be fooled by that $80 monster crap). It makes a huge difference. I had the factory cables hooked up while waiting for my real ones to come in, the difference is huge. I bought two rolls of this, and have about a half one left over.

A lot of the wiring in the walls has already been done(the guy building the house was having it built for him initially, so had a bunch of stuff like that already done, I have to get the AV company that wired it come out and show me everything they did). I'm just going to have to add it in certain places to accommodate my setup. I planned on using a 12AWG OFC wire since the lengths are long, but the long ones will be the surrounds, everything else isn't too bad.

I wish I could prove what my ol' lady does in her sleep. Unfortunately we'd have to sleep in the same room for that to happen.

My wife snores. All that gets me is moving into a different bedroom.

She swears she doesn't snore because she doesn't know how to mimic snoring--and she doesn't, it's hilarious to listen to her try to mimic it. But she most definitely snores in her sleep.
