They didn't do **** to it, slapped on a cheap quick paint job, some wheels, hood, interior and a 4bbl.

 

I'm not seeing what's so special, but someone apparently does. I checked the bid and it's over $101k. Someone's about to throw away a hell of a lot of money.

 

They did absolutely nothing to it. He bought it for $7500 on the show (allegedly, I don't believe most of that ****) bone stock daily driver. Had some really ****ty body work done on the quarter panel at some point. 302 2bbl car, auto, ps, ac.

They did nothing to the original motor or trans but put a 4bbl intake on it, lowered it, put 17 inch wheels, recovered the interior, headliner and dash pad and carpet. And put that Mach 1 hood on it cause the original was so rough. Shot a quick coat of paint on it and put on some stripes.

That's why I hate those shows. Overhaulin' is the only one that seems to do a thorough job getting the cars like they should be. All the other shows put on some paint, and give it a vacuuming and sell it to some schlub. Seriously, there's rust on the bottom of the doors.

 

Kind of ironically disappointed. I wasn't able to eat enough to be at my optimal calorie input for the day, because I worked a little too hard, and I am in a sense saddened by it. I'm not hungry enough to eat anything else. Probably not the best for me, as I already run at a 1,250 deficit.

 

Just finished reading Please Be With Me, Galadrielle Allman's biography of her father, the incomparable Duane, who died when she was only two. It was a really moving narrative. Best dam' guitar player ever, IMO.
