I hate to admit it, but I used to love this song. Crazy that I support charities that are totally opposite of what the song promotes.

It just doesn't get much better than that. Rock on Skydog, rock on brother. It just makes me weak in the knees that a young man did what he did. The fact that he was dead in his early 20s just blows my mind, what could he have done if he had lived? He was the God of guitar, nobody else could match what he laid down.

Even Eric Clapton thought Duane was a genius, he emulated Duane and thought he was a guitar master. That says a lot about Duane, to have God to look up to you is an amazing thing. Listening to Skydog brings me to my knees and rips my soul apart. My God, those licks that comes out of his guitar are amazing.
My little guy loves this song for some reason. What a ****ing weird little kid. Video Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQpQVw6BEwY I have to listen to the ****ing song every night after I read a story with him, but I have to promise not to tell his friends that he still reads a book with his dad every night before he goes to sleep, lol. His friends would make fun of him incessantly if they knew that he read a book with his dad every night.
I think I've heard that song before. I didn't much care for it. I used to listen to some weird ****. Not saying that's weird though.
I remember when I was like 18 and my parents thought I was on drugs (and I was) and all my friends came over high on pot or coke (and some did) because they always had blood shot eyes. I thought it was just because I stayed up so late and never seemed to sleep unless it was daytime. But anyway they were worried about me and thought the devil had a hold of me so they went into my room and went thorough all my CDs and threw them away based on the names and CD covers. So of course Suicidal Tendencies went bye bye. All my Cult CDs gone. The Cult was awesome btw. **** I love those songs. Genius. And a bunch of others. All in all about a doZen or so CDs just disappeared one day while I was at school. I was so pissed. Not so much about the music but the **** money they threw away. At least $200 worth for a kid that made like $100 a week at work.
Long story short they threw away my Flesh for Lulu CD. That group was known for one thing and not even very well known for that. They played the main song in the movie some kind of wonderful. I dont know why but I loved that song. I was a U2, REM, Cure, New Order, Ministry, Metallica, and the Cult kind of kid. But I also loved classical and outlaw country. And Elvis because that's what my mom listened to when I was little in the car with her. And I listened to AC/DC, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, Boston, and the Eagles when I was with my brothers.
But now I have that song on my phone from iTunes. And everytime I hear it I go back in my mind to that time when all my problems seemed so big then and so little now.
