It has really affected everyone and has even caused a few problems because my parents can't understands brothers grieving Process still and my brother and his wife don't understand and are hurt that my parents don't seem to grieve at all about it. But my parents put their full faith in the Lord while my brother looked up and asked why God why. Me. I'm just in the middle of them. Even some family friends got petty about it eventually. Like kids at school being rude to my daughters saying Austin liked them more and ****. Who says that to somebody about their deceased cousin. People suck. That's all there is to know about life.
Losing someone close like that is a ****ed up situation, I know that better than anyone. It destroys relationships and ****s up the whole family dynamic. I was the same way, I lived each day like it was my last, unfortunately I still do the same thing all these years later and I know its not a good thing. I know exactly what you're talking about, nobody in the family understands the grieving process, they don't know what we have been through and they **** sure don't know what has went on in this house internally. Its not a pretty thing, in fact, its an ugly situation that I wouldn't elaborate on ever. Yet I keep it compartmentalized among us because of the **** my kid deals with.

I know exactly what you're talking about with the "God" "Church" thing. Been through all of that, yet I have to deal with a young man that sees all of that as bull****, otherwise why would he have had to go through what he did?

Its a long story and a lot of ****, but I know exactly what you and your family are going through. I wouldn't wish what we have been through on my worst enemy, and we are just getting started on it.

You guys are getting way too deep around here. Grieving just sucks and I don't do much of it myself. I absolutely love all my relatives and especially immediate family but when it comes down to it, my wife and kids are more important than anything else in this world. Everyone else is completely secondary. I've had quite a few very close tragedies within the last couple years but keeping focus on those who depend on me alone gets me through things. When I decided to start my own family, I realized that everyone else in my life will take a back seat. Just my personal solution to getting through losing losing someone close. Mourning and grieving never fixed anything. Just my take on the subject.

Dude, you can't even imagine the things I have to tell. I actually wrote it all out and was pissed off, but I erased it because it was just too much to tell on a public forum. I'll tell you about it via PM if you want to know, but you can't go off about what people have to say on here, you just cant do it. PM me it you wan't to know the truth about how I feel and what I've been through, otherwise, just back off from these guys.

Sometimes good tunes can help unleash the feelings we all keep inside.

James was a BAMF.

Every R&B performer from Michael Jackson to Usher owes their success to James Brown.

I love all of that ****. When I was a little boy, my dad was really into the soul music and our record player in a huge entertainment center (remember those? a huge piece of furniture that took up half of the living room in the trailer, had a radio and record player in the top of it that opened up, lol).

Otis, James, Percy Sledge, Diana Ross and the Supremes and other albums played constantly in my house, its what I grew up on. I've got pictures of me when I was little wearing groovy little outfits and dancing and singing those songs in front of that entertainment center, lol. That music was the thing I lived for, I loved music and dancing, lol. People used to come over to our house to listen to music and get ****ed up just to watch me dance and sing.

I was a jive little **** in the 60s. I knew every Motown song word for word and I could do all of James Brown's dance moves. I could get down, lol. I didn't understand what the adults were doing, they were getting ****ed up, and they put me in front of the record player to dance and sing for them, I was little, I didn't realize they were ****ed up and using me for entertainment, lol.

Luckily my mom never took a drink or toke in her life and she would finally try to put me to bed and run everyone off as the night went on. I still didn't go to bed, I've always been a night owl. I'd pretend I was asleep and listen to what the grown up were doing, lol.
