Talk about heart wrenching, ****ing fantastic version. These guys are badasses. That piano just rips my soul out. I hate to admit it, but I can only make it through about 40 seconds of the song before I burst into tears.




I know Nathan has never heard this, but he should really listen to it.

 

Um, yes I've heard that song many times. Just not the acoustic version...

 

Well you don't have to be a smartarse about it, lol.


But the acoustic version is great, I love that piano. It touches me deep down in my soul, brings out a lot of emotions. I love a piano in a rock song, but on that one in particular it really moves me. Has for a long time.

I'm watching Eddie and the Cruisers which I've never seen for some reason. Then I hear this song and had no idea it was from this movie. I guess I heard this song 30 years ago when I was 12 and never knew anything about the movie.

 

FTR I'm more of a Momentary Lapse of Reason kind of guy as it was contemporary for me.


Although I do remember being 5 or 6 and listening to Dark Side on the record player with headphones in the living room. I also listened to Steve Miller, Aerosmith, Eagles, and Elton John.

 

One thing I miss about albums is the cover art. It used to be like art. It mattered. Sure CDs had covers butch smaller. I mean look at the Dark Side of the Moon cover. I remember staring at that as a kid. All the covers.
