I was really considering this house, but then I realised that it only had a 3 car garage, I really need a four car garage......

No
I retained tan walls and carpet(only not the same tan I picked, this is lighter)
I lost my Big screen tv hole- Its now an arched little thing.
The baths are tan(but I gained a bath) and the dining room is now hardwood. NOW you enter the house, and there is no half wall, just columns. BUT its hardwood to the living room.
Now we live on a cul de sac.
I gained stainless appliances, some freaky marble backsplash, tile floors and the coveted jetted tub.
Brian says we went from a big fish in a little pond(biggest house on the block) to a little fish in a big pond(smallest house on the block)

All those houses you all keep showing me-

My Hubby is from Long Island:

This is a $189,000 house in Bellport where his best friend lives:
yuk

He's from Bayport:
Cheapest house on the market:
Here

This is why we didn't take the transfer to NY.

And in contrast: the most expensive house in Calera where I am moving:
here

Are you all afraid of heights out there? I dont see any two storys in the regular neighborhoods.

I cant stand one story houses. Grew up in one, and havent lived in one in over 10 years. I love having all the bedrooms upstairs... that way if I feel like being lazy I only have to clean the downstairs, and no one knows the diff!!! LOL

James, now THATS what I am talking about ! Woohoo!! My daughter and I have decided that once we are filthy rich, we are going to buy two more lots behind us... we need two, two story garages... fit about 6 cars each. She needs one for her Vettes (how did I give birth to a Vette lover?) and one for my Stangs.

Ed, its ocean front... Actually, its just a couple blocks down from where I live.

All these houses are built facing the ocean, and they have an alley that runs behind them. That house comes with a two car garage.. and again, its a funky set up... the garage is long, not wide. Other than that, its street parking, and those can get REALLY busy.

If we want to buy again, we HAVE to afford at least $1.5. We are almost there... By next year we should be able to swing it. Heck, the condo I am living in is $850k, and I refuse to buy a condo. I dont see the sense in it.

I would love to move, but, we are stuck in SoCal. Being stuck in SoCal, we refuse leave HB.

Sadly, those are typical houses out in SoCal right Jessica?? Those places are gorgeous. I wish you and your hubby good luck in getting one.

April, I wouldnt want to live in any of those huge places around here. Its the south, and with gossip tendencies, everybody and their brother is going to keep their eyes on you and you will be an attention..... fill in teh words :P

Ok- goal 4 obtained.
(mustang, nice house,great job,cool kids).
Holy Mama I am tired. Registering the kids, packing, running around, we had friends over last night, and I have 15 purses i need to complete by Friday already sold.
This house looks like a hurricane struck it. Its dirty, filled with boxes and yarn- Eleanor we won't even mention, poor thing.

This new house is beginning to grow on me. I spent the morning pissed off until I decided to take it last night. Today I ran around resigning all the paperwork. In the long run, its better I guess.

Dave, no kidding man... Hubby and I were talking about buying and then renting it out. Thing is, if the market isnt exploding out there like it is here, then its not worth it. The idea is to buy, rent, then turn it over in 2 years for a profit, and still be able to buy another house.

Yall don't want them trust me.
VERY rural poor section of Alabammy.
No schools- just private academies.
No hospital fire or police either.

I went that route- and ran screaming back home.
